I especially like that it was the first station to play Edward Maya and other techno-ish tracks. Not to mention that years ago they were playing Filipino-American group One Voice while the other station didn't. Being affiliated with a larger network, they have better contests where you win more money. Their morning show MJ in the Morning is also interesting as well.

I have all three stations saved in my car, but I rarely if ever listen to X1029. They do play new stuff, but it seems like the music that is played really isn't in the rock genre at all. The songs can be heard on the pop or even hip hop stations in the city. I'm not picky, nor am I close-minded to new music, but I want to hear new rock and rock from the past 10-15 years. I don't want to hear the same thing that can be heard on every other station in Jacksonville.

Easy 102.9 is contemporary adult music. A few tunes we heard while it was on the dial included some Britney Spears, Steve Perry, Adele, Bananarama and Bonnie Raitt. Yeah, it goes back a while and that's why it's called "adult" music. WEZI is owned by Atlanta-based Cox Media Group. studios and offices are located on Belfort Parkway in Jacksonville's Southside district and the transmitter in the Arlington neighborhood.
