BLT is the worst landlord who you ever can have. they screwed me and many more people on security deposits, unprofessional and unpleasant to deal with. if you have options to live somewhere else don't even think twice. also they have horrible smoke coming from o&g every night at 2am. it's heavy metals and so bad for you and also can cause different issues for infants and young children. stay away. read more

Resided here for 3.5 years before rent increases got out of control. There are some very good things about this building; the doormen, the pool, the convenient location. But if you have any problems or issues, dealing with the Leasing Office leaves much to be desired. They frequently do not answer emails, provide valid help/assistance, or do their jobs well/correctly. Dozens of instances of poor service over the 3.5 years -- frankly too many to name. My personal favorite, however, was when I received a stern email that the Leasing Office would begin charging me for owning two pets in the unit. We owned one pet, and did not have any other pets even temporarily with us. Leasing did not bother to, y'know, *ask* to confirm if we had a second pet. This was one of many instances of improper charges levied that I had to fight to get reduced. Unfortunately, that was the tip of the iceberg. Many residents have left in recent months due to extremely poor service and the rent increases; the building shows no desire or care to retain residents or to provide even baseline levels of appropriate customer service. read more

3rd alarm in past 5 days! The every other day schedule is not working for anyone. Pinnacle pays lip service to the concerns...pretty soon fewer people will bother to come down for the alarms, hang out on balcony or find loudest headphones possible and ride it out. This is seriously bad...People are exhausted being disturbed early on Mon/Wed and now late Friday night. If Pinnacle makes resources available to Gerald, I'm sure he will find the solutions but Pinnacle actually really needs to follow through. This is unacceptable read more

They finally added a few but of course not all of them.  The umbrellas have not been ordered, and they use cheaper chairs than they did last year.  The photos they present are deceiving. -Weird Smells??? Horrible place to live. We can't wait to get out of here. Cons 1) The building has mice (see the photo for proof). We went to the amenities floor the first day we moved in and saw a mouse as soon as we walked in. We left immediately and never stepped foot in there again. If you want to use the gym, make sure you are ok with mice. 2) The management is non-existence. You pay for a managed building, but it is an absolute waste of time to deal with them. Like everyone else commented, they only care about signing new tenants. Resolving issues of the existing tenants is not in their job description! We got a very loud neighbor a few months ago and they have made our life like hell. They have loud parties till 2 am every week. We asked the management to talk to them, she literally told us if they are loud, call the police, we should not be bothered by this. There is also a dog that barks for hours nonstop on a daily basis and again the management said this is a dog-friendly building and dogs bark! 3) It is a loud neighborhood. There is a big construction site next to the building. You hear I95 and the train and there is loud music from the bars nearby till late at night. 4) The building is in the middle of a ghetto. Lots of shooting around the block. We only drive wherever we go since it is not safe to walk. My husband used to walk to the train station for work before covid. He survived but it is definitely a very unpleasant walk with so many shady people you encounter around the building. Pros 1) Close to the train station. 2) Slightly cheaper than other buildings, but it is really not worth it. Pay the extra bucks and live with dignity. 3) higher floors have a nice view. The perk of living in a ghetto is that it is so bad that no one else wants to build tall buildings next to you and your view is not going to get blocked. 4) The concierge is great. read more

I lived at the Key apartment for almost a year and because both The Key and 111 have same office so I am positing my review here as well. We had a very nice stay. Leasing office is good and specially Viktoria is very nice. Our move-in process was smooth and all the repairs were done on time. However, I had the worst exit ever and that is why I am giving it 1 star. I paid my last utility bill to Eversource but when I got my final settlement they deducted $208 from my deposit saying Eversource has billed us. They never provided any document to show that they paid to Eversource so that I can get a refund from them. Later Gerard acknowledged that there is some timing issue and he will resolve this. It has been 3 months they never returned my money back. I have been emailing them and calling them and no one responds. In addition to that they sent my records to a collection agency saying I did not pay them $208 and that agency calls and mails me everyday. So I paid Eversource and these guys already and now they want me to pay the third time for the same bill. This is the WORST I have seen after renting places in at least 3 different states. Pinnacle/The Key/111 Harbor Point - if you are reading this then please stop making money like this and make my life hell by giving my details to a collection agency when you owe me money. We pay deposit to cover the cost of any damages and its not your money. read more

Don't waste your money. We've lived here for 2 years now for all the money we spend a month here we are treated like garbage. The management is just rude and unhelpful all they care about is getting new renters they are horrible and rude to people that live there and spend almost 3k a month to live there. This place was OK when we first moved in, but things have gone downhill (We may have also been jaded by the amenities). Aside, from some past events which I won't mention here, The rugs in the hallways are stained everywhere, instead of cleaning the rug they just throw bleach on it, its so embarrassing when we have guest stay over, the elevators almost never work, there is a stench on each floor from god knows what, The BBQ's never work and when they do you need to share/wait for a grill, The washer and dryers are horrible it rips up clothes we lost over $500 worth of clothing from the dryer alone. The flooring is loose in our apt and it slides in and out of place. Every year we are surprised by new charges, there's a men's homeless shelter across the way so in the summer they come over to our park and get wasted on the benches, and don't even think about having a car here you'll spend almost $200 a month to park it. The only nice thing about this building are the nice men and woman who work in the front they always great you with a smile and are willing to help. Otherwise, save your money and look somewhere else! Cannot wait to leave ! read more

This place has gone down hill since we've moved here. The gym used to be better the TVs on the machines used to work. That was prior to Pinnacle taking over. Why can't they hook them up? It's annoying that there is constantly a piece of equipment out of order and it stays out for weeks on end. They charge a ridiculous amount of money for rent yet they can't fix anything properly. Pinnacle needs to get it together and focus on what's existing as well as their current construction projects. read more

Avoid like the plague. Moving here is the worst decision you can possibly make. 1) smelly hallways and apartments (we even did a mold test to try to determine the source) and ordered an air purifier 2) NOISE NOISE NOISE - outdoor drilling, train passing through, trucks on the highway, nearby bar blasting music outdoors until 1 am every weekend, ongoing construction, almost daily lawn mowers 7 am - 2 pm, unexplained buzzing, fire alarms going off asking you to leave the building twice in the past couple of months, 3) unsympathetic management 4) unsafe neighborhood: shootings have occurred a street away from the building multiple times since I moved in 11 months ago 5) maintenance issues - good luck finding an employee who fixes anything the first time around, and enjoy the unfinished rooftop with OLD stained "cabanas" that do not match the advertised photos. read more

If you have come from a college town with the slum landlords that don't care, never answer, and screw you over (even during a global pandemic), then there will be no difference moving here. The main office never answers, never has any insight into what is going on unless its the tenant owing $5. This may be the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I believe teenagers could run the front office better. It takes over 20 phone calls and 20 emails to even get in touch with the right person, then another few months to finally get what you want to be done. My fob broke to get into the front door and into my apt. After 9 emails, 5 calls, and 3 office visits, I still never received my key. If I had to do it all over again, I would pay more money to live downtown, where the front office is competent. read more

Loving this apartment building- the amenities are great! The pool is beautiful and the cabanas and pool chairs are clean and well maintained. The gym is usually not crowded and the common areas/clubhouse are great if you work from home since they are spacious, have free WiFi and are cleaned daily! Really enjoy the large balconies and easy access to CVS, Fairway, Harlan Social and that dry cleaning gets delivered right to the front desk! read more

Similar to the recent reviews about how horrible these scam artists are, I had a similar experience. I was a prospective renter and I met with Michele F. in the leasing office for a tour on May 31st. She was super nice, the property shows very well and it's easy to be impressed by the amenities (game room, pool, gym, etc); the unit itself was very nicely appointed although overall it felt like I'd be living in a high rise hotel - no actual character or personality even though it's aesthetically pleasing like a Starwood or a Hilton. Michele told me that I could hold the unit for up to 24 hours without any penalties, I'd simply have to complete the online application and put the $475 deposit on my card (incl. $100 application fee) but if I canceled within 24 hours I'd be fully refunded since they don't actually process the application until the next day. I did so that evening since it was the best unit I'd seen so far on my search. I called Michele the morning of June 1st to cancel and she confirmed I'd get a full refund "as soon as [she] figured out how to do it" since she'd never canceled an application before. It sounded iffy so I followed up with an email confirming our conversation and her promise of a full refund. I never heard back. About 10 days later I received a check for $375 (short $100 what I was expecting). I emailed her as well as her boss (Kate C) asking about the additional $100 and I heard nothing. Three days later on June 15th I emailed again and then got a response that it was referred to "John, our assistance manager." Crickets again. On June 21st I emailed again and got a reply from Michele saying "he said he took care of the refund." Later that same day I got a reply from Jon saying "a check was mailed 6/8/17." I figured it was en route. I waited until July 8th and when I still hadn't received a check I emailed again asking if there's a way to trace and/or replace the missing check. The next day Jon replied saying that there is no refund for the $100 fee since the application was screened. I wrote back re-explaining the same information that was contained throughout the thread about the information Michele gave me and, upon checking my credit report, no credit pull was ever done so I challenged the assertion that the $100 fee should apply anyway since it appeared a screening was never processed. I never heard back. At best these guys suck at customer service and their stonewalling/lack of timely responses is very indicative of the sham operation they run. At worst these guys are crooks and scam artists plain and simple. Thank god I didn't move forward with my tenancy, I can't imagine how they would handle a tenant dispute but based on the other comments in this thread I'm sure it can't be good. PS - I did get my $100 back by disputing the charge with my credit card company. As of July 16th I haven't heard a thing from these dirtbags. read more

There are structural problems with the building, My floor dipped inwards and they refused to fix it. Many of balconies needed to be structural repaired, which forced urgent action by the staff. There was also an argument in the common room which resulted in a shooting with 20+ shots fired, luckily no one was killed. The security has been upped though since then. Despite stating that it's a quality building, they use the cheapest possible products which resulted in most of your deposit being eaten up, so don't expect it back. The carpet thing is a scam they have going. read more

Renting here may seem like a pretty good deal, but be sure to factor in the various fees ($20 trash fee, $60 amenity fee, $25 parking fee for the first car, more for an additional car) and utility charges (unlike many buildings heat, hot water, and water usage are all billed to you). It can easily add $300 of monthly costs. Units also seem to have issues with condensation and moisture during the winter months, which was so bad it warped the floors and damaged the drywall of my unit. They'll tell you to run your HVAC fan all day to prevent that from happening, but guess who pays the electric bill for that. Generally the finishes and construction are of poor quality. Additionally, in the two years we lived there, we had at least 5 fire alarms, most in the middle of the night. That said, the one time there actually was a legitimate fire in the building the emergency doors locked and residents were unable to exit via the stairs. Management even admitted that they can't figure out why they've had so many problems with their fire alarm system. Finally, when moving out, be sure to accompany the individual doing the final inspection. We were not able to, and were assessed several charges that were not listed on the pre-move inspection report that they had done a week earlier. Clearly they view your security deposit as one last way to get squeeze a little cash from you. read more

At first glance, this building seems great and my first month or so it was.The amenities are nice, even though it is on the expensive side for rent. So this review is going to focus on the management. When I toured the building, I told the leasing agent that noise is a huge issue for me, and as a trader who trades on London hours in the morning, I go to sleep and wake up earlier than most. She assured me that there was "nothing above your apartment" and that noise wouldn't be an issue. What she meant is that there is no tenant. There is however (unbeknownst to me at the time of signing the lease), a gym directly above my apartment, which is inexplicably on the 5th floor and not the ground floor like any sane developer would do. So at all hours of the evening, I have to put up with people dropping weights onto the paper-thin floor, or tapping pool cues on the ground incessantly. After being there for a year, and complaining, the most they could muster was to put a single sign that encourages people not to drop the weights. Of course, this has had absolutely zero impact. Worse over, they refuse to correct the situation or even to enforce the posted sign. They also retroactively added a draconian limitation to the pool of two guests (breach of contract by any other name) because some people decided last summer to have far too many people over. The kicker is, you can purchase as many additional guest passes as you chose, so long as you fork over $15 to the complex. So it's not at all about keeping the pool accessible for the rest of the tenants as much as it is revenue generation for the landlord. The same goes for the common area which can be rented out for private parties, provided you pay. I pay for the use of those amenities, and when someone rents them out privately, I don't get any prorata credit on my account. They are selling out their tenants for their own benefit. Management is incredibly incompetent, with screw ups on a near quarterly basis. Go live somewhere else. BLT is a joke. read more

What an awesome place to live!! Love the apartments and the location! I moved to Stamford two years ago and did not live in their building at first. After one year I moved over to this building and have found that I hear less from my neighbors above and below and the building has very nice tenants.There is also a concierge named Joanne who is so attentive to the tenants and makes you feel so comfortable and safe. When I speak to people who wants to relocate to CTI tell them "111 Harbor Point". That's where you want to live! read more

111 Harbor Point is an overall great building. The apartments are modern and spacious and one of the nicest in all of Harbor Point. The leasing office is also easy to deal with. The floor to ceiling windows create a lot of light and the finishes are very nice. The rooftop pool is a huge selling point as they lounge chairs, cabanas, hammocks, firepits and grills. 5 minute walk to the train with Fairway next door. Love it here! read more

I just moved into the apartment this week and so far so good. The apartment is very close to a CVS, Fairway supermarket, tons of restaurants and Metro North. Everyone I have encountered so far, front desk and residents, have been very friendly. I did have a few maintenance issues, but they were fixed within 24 hours. read more

I've been here for over two years, and the experience has been great. Beautiful building, and the staff are always very helpful and responsive. My daughter & I also love the vibrant, diverse neighborhood & the many activities the complex's management organizes, especially in the summer. Also it's conveniently located to EVERYTHING--I 95, downtown, the train station, you name it--not to mention shops, school, library, etc. read more

THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY I'VE EVER DEALT WITH IN MY LIFE!!! The apartments have large windows but they barely open, decent appliances, and some nice furnishings...but there were also some cheap materials used and things were poorly installed. The wood floor laminate would slide around, the cabinetry was cheap-looking and one of the doors would periodically fall off of a hinge when opened, the carpeting wasn't installed right. You can't hear from apartment to apartment, but you could hear everything in the hallway, and vice versa, when you're in the halls you can hear every discussion in the neighboring apartments. We had a problem with our washing machine, and rather than fixing it, the staff tried to blame us for the way we used it. The solution was to no longer do full loads and only use the delicate cycle, this wasn't much of a solution and left us constantly doing small loads of laundry and never feeling like items like blue jeans got properly cleaned. A smoke detector went off anytime we cooked anything. I could frequently hear other smoke alarms going off, so I know I'm not the only person who had a problem with an oversensitive smoke detector. The amenities were inconveniently located so I seldom used them.The gym was inadequate so I had to keep my gym membership. They had a deck with a pool, fire pits, and grills. But part-way through the first year they made a bunch of rules about how many people you could take to the pool, and you had to pay for day passes for guests and you had to wear a bracelet, it really made it feel less like an amenity at home and more like a public pool. Maintenance wasn't great. You make appointments for within a 2 hour window. Every time they missed the window. After 2 hours when I'd call they'd say there was some "emergency" in another apartment and that they'd be there soon, and usually after another 30-45 minutes someone would show up. They try to squeeze every nickel out of you at every opportunity. Rent is too high in Stamford, but here you pay for absolutely everything, not just cable, electric and gas, but also, water, trash, and an amenity fee are added on to the monthly rent, so you always pay more in rent than the listed price. Additionally, they charge you a non-refundable fee up-front for pets AND charge you $100 monthly pet rent for EACH pet. Parking is $150/month for an extra car. After our first lease they raised the rent $100/month. That seemed high, but not crazy, so we renewed the lease, knowing rent would always go up hoping in the future by smaller increments. The next year they wanted to raise the rent MORE than $220/month, and our first parking spot, which had previously been included in the rent, would now be extra money. We wanted to get rid of our second parking spot. When we initially tried to do this, we were told that we'd already paid for the current month in our rent but we should keep the spot until the following month when we could turn in our garage door opener and vacate the spot. When we tried to do that, we were told that giving up a parking spot required 60 days notice. This was NOT in our lease. Their initial solution was to take away our spot but still force us to pay an extra months fee. After leaving the apartment, they continued to try to charge us for additional things. They insisted on replacing all of the carpets in the apartment even though there was only visible damage in one room. When we paid our last month's rent online after having turned in our keys, we assumed that our rent and water and garbage bills were done. Only later did we find out that our last month's prorated rent didn't include two days rent or our last water or garbage bill. After two years, the interest on our deposit was a whopping $1.33. I asked why it was so low, they said that they were only required to pay 0.9% interest. My guess is that they had it in an account accruing more than that interest amount, but they paid out the absolute minimum amount required by law. We wanted to stay there for the duration of our time in the area, which would only be another couple of years, but we couldn't stomach paying that much and were afraid we couldn't afford the future cost increases. In fact, you couldn't do month to month extensions, you HAVE to renew your lease for a specific time. And in our case had we wanted to renew for 3 months, our monthly rent would have increased by $1720/month! That would have made the monthly rent for a 2 BR apartment about $5,000. (For comparison the place I'm at now raises your rent $50 if you go month to month after your first 1 year lease.) The constant attempts to get every nickel and dime out of the tenants in every conceivable manner made living here never seem like home and is the main reason why I give it one star. I know that it's a business and they're in it to make money, but by doing it so extensively it soured the entire tenant/landlord relationship. read more

After living in in NYC for over 10 years, the pace and the attitude had started to get to me 24/7. I love Ne York and work there, but was finding that I needed an urban lifestyle with access to quieter surroundings . I am an interior designer and began work in Fairfield County , so decided to take the plunge and move to the Harbor Point Community . I liked all the properties I saw but when Matt Mastrianni showed me options in 111 and The Key, I feel I got a great apartment and a good value. The staff has been warm and helpful, maintenance calls are addressed quickly ( I have had very few) and the proximity To Fairway and other services on the property make life easy . I commute into. NYC at least 4 days a week by Metro North, and use ZipCar which is garaged very close by. I can't wait for the spring and summer when I can plant my terrace , and enjoy the outdoor amenities ! I highly recommend this and have d me so to a few die hard New Yorkers who have come for dinner at my place . read more
