As far as the federal detention center in Houston goes I can safely say if your going to go to jail in the Houston area its probably the best one to go to, LOL. The staff seem to be a little more professional than the others I've been to, the facility is a little cleaner, and the security seems to be significantly greater. I know it's a State Jail / Prison facility but just because you could care less about the inmates doesn't mean the person calling doesn't. I will call EVERY DAY til I get a release date for my fiance. He's finished all his classes and hours and 45 day program almost a week ago. They messed up on counting and got his projective release date wrong and won't fix it or just try and help me figure out around about date that he might be released so I know when I need to excuse myself from work and plan things for him to come home! Other governmental facilities / state jails / prisons prior to this one have at least been respectful with manners and at least sounded like they cared and tried to help as much as they could... ***RANT OVER***

No,it wasn't the charming and quaint small Texas Town but,the notorious prison within its city limits. He wasn't running lights, but we were in Montgomery county so he was within his jurisdiction. Just curious, I sped up to see how fast he was speeding. 80-85 mph. Non emergency as he did break and slow down when he had to for traffic. As we passed the county line heading into Walker County, this guy sped up!! 85-90 mph!! He did at least use his blinker as he changed lanes (for fear he might break a traffic ordinance) Weaving thru traffic without a care in the world! Remember, do as I say, not as I do. If you or I had driven like that we would have gotten a ticket, if not thrown in jail for excessive speed and reckless driving! Laws for thee but not for me! I did call and complain but nothing was done or said. From my understanding he does this on a regular basis. Earn the hate.... And people wonder why cops are not trusted or liked.
