Lazy, incompetent and rude staff. Disgusting and run down facility. The medical facility is awful and the food is insufficient.

So I just want to say I wouldn't recommend this particular establishment. First: the waiters and hotel staff are not as well trained as they should be and the beds defiantly need some additional times through the washing machine (women's work). This particular hotel seems to think I needed a roommate, and that bunkbeds are awesome (they are not), very squeaky and annoying. Second: the food, I ordered taco's and they brought me a peanut butter sandwich. I tried to send it back and the waiter was defiantly not trained in customer service. He tossed my peasant sandwich on the floor and told me to deal with it. I asked to speak to the manager, and he said......sure inmate.....wait right here. I waited......he never came. I am wondering if he was being sarcastic ? I watched as ants ate my supposed to be a taco, peanut butter sandwich. I'm defiantly not leaving a tip for these guys. Third: the roommate is very weird. He was drunk (fun) when he arrived and now he's sober (boring). I asked him where he got the beer but, he won't tell me, I think I must be a secret password at this establishment. I am considering tickling him until he tells me, or craps his pants. Fourth: These clothes that they provide are not up to my standards. First on all, who wears orange? This goes with nothing that I own, and does nothing for my attractiveness. These guys are awesome. After Katrina I had the opportunity to do some work via a local company in Houston. It was a true pleasure to be afforded the trust to protect those facilities. As anyone knows that has worked there the best way out is the front door. read more

Where to begin? Not the best place to go after a tough day. They will not show any sympathy. Instead they will place you in a freezing cold room with snot ( I hope it was snot) and other bodily fluids on the walls. There is an endless supply of brown paper bags filled with cookies, sandwich meat and bread. No juice, no fruit, no water. The employees are rude, incompetent, and insulting. The morning wake up with music blaring after 3 hours of sleep is nothing compared to having to sit in a room for nearly 8 hours waiting to be in your final housing area. The food is bad but they do provide fruits and vegetables. During the day, there are no activities scheduled and you stay in your pod the entire time. There is no one to keep you safe. The guards are in a tower and it takes them quite a while to get to you if anything happens. A fight broke out and it took nearly 15 minutes for the guards to come. The person could have been dead by then as so many others have already died in this hell hole! They told me they had medical services however I only had the chance to interact with a nurse who attempted to draw my blood in 2 different locations until I nearly fainted. I was awakened at 4:00 to get my blood pressure checked... Upon checkout, I had to wait nearly 3 hours to get my belongings back and then was let out onto the street with people who had been in there for far more serious crimes than my alleged offenses. Long story short, do everything and anything to avoid ever having to go to this place. Don't let your loved ones end up here. Let's work together as a community to get this place improved or shut down. They are making a lot of money but it is unclear where it is being spent. Shitty sandwiches & smells like piss. No Wi-Fi and freezing cold, should definitely invest in a Nest thermostat. They have self automated features and celestial scheduling. Water fountain looked deadlier than Coronavirus. 10/10 wouldn't recommend. read more

I departed about 1130 am. i was not offered breakfast or water to drink. my stay was not pleasant. the pillows that were not offered would have been nice. The temp should be monitored as well, it was about 60 degrees in my room and i typically like it around 68 degrees. i hope my stay is better next time. read more

Incase y'all didn't know very much about jail, I'll say what I learned when I spent 3 weeks in here lol. The toilet paper is a guarded commodity. If you want to get a roll you either have to trade food for it or mops the floors at night (the guards give a roll of TP to whoever takes the mop) The pamphlets tell you not to accept free food from anyone, I didn't listen to that. When they offer you free food they are testing you to see if your new. If you take the food, they will try and hold it against you later on. For example someone gave me a pack of ramen noodles and two days later he asked for my entire tray of food. When you get to your tank your expected to take a shower. Ask to borrow your celly's shower shoes (bunk mate) because their is cum and disease all inside the shower floor. Wear your boxers while you shower don't take them off. Just keep to yourself and you'll be fine I was only there for 3 weeks so this isn't super good knowledge, but if I can help one person it was worth typing! read more

WORST HOTEL EVER! The good thing about this hotel is that they will pick you up and take you directly to it, once you get there though, you are ready to leave. 1st off, this is the dirtiest hotel I have ever been in! The staff treats you like, ohh, I don't know... like you did something wrong! When I arrived, it took 2 hours to get checked in, and while I was waiting around for my room, the fellow clientele I was waiting with were awful! The other people at this hotel waiting to get checked in with me were dirty, smelly degenerates that were obvious, frequent visitors to this 1 star palace. After I finally got checked in I was moved to my room, or so I thought. After 30 or so minutes in my new large room with 20 other guest, I was moved yet again, but this time into an overcrowded elevator. Of course the elevator operator went to the wrong floor, prolonging this wonderful event. As soon as I got out of the elevator, I gasped for fresh air only to inhale the wonderful stench of, what I hope was, Lysol. I soon realized that I was on my way to MY room and I was pleased, well, as pleased as one could be at this lame hotel. When I arrived at my floor, I was quickly given what I thought was a late night / early morning meal (I would guess it was 4AM by this point, lousy hotel has NO clocks!) Absolutely starving, I open up the meal container to see what I would guess to be gray eggs, scrambled, a white, lumpy paste-like substance, and a large piece of purple sausage. Don't get me wrong, I usually enjoy trying new foods, but something told me to hold off on this particular meal. When I got to my room I realized that the front desk clerk must have over booked the place because I had to share my room with 3 other people. Over the next 8 hours while I was "waiting to check out," I realized something; I am never going to this Hotel again! The service was way below par, the food was horrendous and the beds were the dirtiest things I have ever seen (surely it would fail the black light test). Worst of all, the price. I do not recommend this establishment. Unfortunately I have had to settle with staying here more than once due to the price, it is definitely not my first choice. Weird thing about it is that they require all of their guests to wear orange jump suits, I guess it is for sanitation reasons. On the plus side they have really good A/C, and free food (Bologna sandwiches with no condiments, 0% juice and best of all Graham cracker crusted peanut butter and jelly sandwiches). Down side, like the other reviewer noted, you share your room with 20 or more individuals and they move you around constantly. Ok so here we go I went based on a whim. Was told that this hotel was one of the best in town. So there I stayed. They offer free medical help but as my gang green festered and I sat there in the medical room for three days all I got was laughed at. But there are silver linings. Saw a woman reunite with her long lost husband through the medical side and even got a free can of warm soda. Was told that even though my glasses were stolen during my unintentional nap, they could not find the culprit. Oh what's 500 dollars anyway! The food was ok but definitely undercooked. The service was always brought about with a loving scowl and plenty of hate. The customer service is sub-par but honestly for the price of the room it's phenomenal. 10 out of 10 would NOT recommend without first learning how to make homemade knives. read more

SPACE PIRATE DISCRIMINATE!!!! I landed at this little shanty after dropping off a shipment of Quoatar Pluronium. I decided this place looked nice enough to put my moon boots up for a moment while my ship recharged. Zorks was I wrong. first, the staff is incredibly rude, as if they've never read Lord Zulls Intergalactic Guide to Space Diplomacy and Etiquette. This was the first Spotel (space hotel) that was not politic neutral and the moment I declared my allegiance to the Republic my room was downgraded. CLEARLY Pro-Empire. They seem to section rooms off based on race and gender, as I was only allowed to shack up with bi-pedals of my own gender. Not a very fun way to start they stay. Aside from being restricted to a female only Republic room, the food was terrible. We were served sandwiches of processed earth bread (who knows how many light years that took to get here!) with slices of what I can only assume was expired Tauntaun. The cookies were good. But pirates (space and sea) love cookies so I may be biased. The medical droids need an update.They are your basic GH-7 models. These are clearly units that were created before the bedside manner app was created for upload. Its a free upload so I still haven't figured out yet why they haven't managed to bring them up to speed. The bacta tank is free but it takes forever to get to. Wampas also roam freely in this spotel, oddly enough. They're tame, but if you make eye contact they can get testy. Do not ask them questions as they get extremely frustrated with being too stupid to answer. They do hook you up with a sweet Rebel flight suit while you wait for your dry cleaning to get done, but if you're leaving soon don't count on it. after 32 hours mine was still not done even after placing it in the dry cleaning bag, marking it clearly with my name, and placing it on the dry cleaning rack. Overall I'd still have to recommend Sidi Driss over this place. Even though the owners always smell like smoke the hospitality and climate is far more bearable. read more

People trash this place and I get that but I don't think it's all of what they're saying. Sure the food leaves a little to be desired and the service stinks but it beats sleeping on Allen's landing over a humid Houston night. And instead of mosquitos to keep you company you have a group of your peers. You can argue about second servings or just explore the meaning behind their tattoos all night. Plus if you're lucky enough to sleep on a floor with windows, the views of Washington street and downtown are phenomenal; I know people rave about the Chase building but the atmosphere really lacks the Houston charm that Harris county possesses. In summary, while the municipal building certainly has its quirks, I recommend everyone stay at least one night. Who knows you may fall in love and stay your whole life!? read more

I have been calling all day to talk to one of my best friends who is staying here and they are always too busy have poor connection and they kept hanging up on me and were being really rude. They still haven't given me anything besides please hold all day it's been hours and they keep hanging up on me which is I'm pretty sure is illegal because legally I can have the information I'm seeking and I can talk to him legally also I'm very upset and they treat inmates like shit this places blows in my opinion save yourself while you can. -.- I wish I could give them zero stars and say this but oh well here's my review. read more

I'll say this: It was my fault that I was processed, but it was also my first offence. The Sheriff's deputies are disrespectful, rude and lack compassion or empathy. Regardless of what you may or may not have done, you are no more than a piece of shit to them are can expected to be treated as such. What does it take to work here? No doubt an IQ close to the temperature of holding tanks. These people couldn't cut it in the real world. The holding tanks are ice cold and when you are locked up inside, they don't want to be bothered with your needs. Why, treating someone innocent or not, may just make them move and lose weight! Compassion isn't high on their list of priorities. In fact I was told that by complaining that I was cold they would leave me in the tank longer. Blankets? Ha, forget it. The food served is disgusting. Please remember, that my guilt or innocence has not been proven by this point. I am only being processed. There were no toilet rolls for me to put my head down on. The only place that deserves some credit is the medical facility. Nurses were generally kind and the doctor was attentive. The prison guards were no better than those German POW camps or for that matter, Auschwitz. Yes, I have been there. Perhaps the new Sheriff in town will be able to drill a little humanity into this sub-class of human beings. They tend to think of themselves as "Lords and Ladies of the Manor", when in fact they are little more than trash. read more

I will tell you what... forget what these idiots below have said. This is a top-notch establishment with service that cannot compare to anywhere else I have stayed in my life. First off, it is like the movie "The Game." You don't know you are going, and then - all of a sudden - you are swept away to the place. The car could have been better, but the butlers open the door for you, help you in, and ask if you know what you are doing. Of course you don't!!!! And that is the excitement of your ride. Depending on how far away from the downtown location you are, the ride might be uncomfortable. It is surely because they don't want you high-fiving the officials taking you there so you have to keep your hands to yourself. When I got there, it was sweet, but not just like any other tourist hotel. Sure, they take your picture, but they do it TWICE!!! Just to be sure that they get a good one you can purchase later for your family. They even then make sure you keep your hands clean by showing you how much shit you have on them on a computerized screen, one-by-one. They then escort (!!!!!) you across the street to your lodging. The front desk guy my night was a little moody, but it was late. He was asking me all sorts of questions, but I just wanted to check in, so I kept it simple. Holy shit. This place values your security. They will wait until a few of you have shown up and then ask you to give them the shirts off your back and let them make sure you don't have anything that might hurt you on your belt. After that you finally get to get into the part of the lobby where you can talk to a few of your fellow travelers. I thought that this was going to be an American style hotel, but not so, it is more like a Hostel in Europe. Not to worry, you have a lot of new friends with you and you have the chance to experience the European style of sleeping which is apparently on a solid floor with as many lights on as possible. What a cultural experience!!!! Before I was able to get my American style bed, I was told that I was ready to be checked out. So sad considering the neat outfits the other patrons had which looked incredibly comfortable. Oh well. The service staff still made sure that I had something to eat (OATMEAL CREAM PIE!!!). So then I had to wait forever to check out. No problem since there is nothing better to fill your time than watching some crackhead woman take a piss right in front of you (Culture!). They then took me up to the penthouse to get checked out. They really have their own schedule there, don't bother setting your watch to Central Time or whatever. They made sure I got all of the pieces of my things back and ensured my security as I walked through two locked doors. The best part was the people in the cabs ready to help you out with anything you needed as soon as you checked out. If you needed a ride, or smokes, they were ready for you. What service. In 2007 I had the option of dragging out my case for over a year or take a 6 month plea....naturally the plea farm is a business in itself designed to secure conviction rate....I became a trustee (floor worker) on the 6th floor with ALL KINDS OF KILLERS AND RAPISTS....I worked 6days/week & 8hrs/day for 5 months and 3 weeks....the guard assigned to the floor workers (Johnson i think) wrote a bogus review on my profile saying i was disorderly and uncooperative....so now when i grace the walls of this craphole they pull up a profile that is totally counterfeit and defimates my character....It doesnt say inmate freely turned himself in and worked for his majority plea sentence, in their eyes I am a risk/liability....Guards often had me slide food trays into opened doors as I went down the line of cells, I protested and would go inside their cells and place their food on their table; i was repremanded verbally for this....I dont believe people are dogs/cattle and dont deserve food served on the floor, rapists, theives, killers, we are all Gods children and deserve humane treatment. Let the judge determine their fate, not the guards appointed to house/monitor the inmates.....Filthy, inconsistent atmosphere that NO MAN OR WOMAN SHOULD HAVE TO ENDURE read more

If there was a negative rating, believe me, I would have marked it. I was told to go to This courthouse to get a ticket straightened out that was for an upper mount light that was out. I had proof that it was taken care of. I showed the sheriff This. I was unlawfully taken into the H.C.J from 49 San Jacinto. While UNLAWFULLY IN CUSTODY, I had a seizure due to A Harris County Sheriff using a syringe and shooting me up with an unknown substance that made me act dellirious. I had 2 seizures, then went into convulsions due to these shots he was giving me. I did not have a SAN bracelet on due to the fact that they had no reason to hold me. I was beaten, sexually assaulted, drugged and treated like a criminal by these thugs that called themselves law enforcement officers. My life was threatened. It still is. I am unable to do anything about This. I've had two major back surgerys with a battery in my back. My spine is not together. I ambulate with a cane/wheel chair. I am not even thirty years old. This is the most horrific experience of my life. read more
