I swear they used to have something that would check that white pie box. So after some debate with two waiters we settled on garlic dressing base. If you are solo you need to order off of the Italian pizza side of the menu as those are single person sized. Not that I can't destroy a larger pizza but I'm still surfing from jet lag. It was busy as usual and service was spot on and as usual the food despite my manipulation of the menu was excellent and if you are craving a white pie ... go with the garlic dressing base.

The waiters are a little stressed when the place is packed, but the food makes it really worth it. This is not the last time we are going there for our dates. I split the bruschetta with my friend and boy was it delicious - the tomatoes tasted extremely fresh and the crunch of the toast was amazing. I opted for the risotto and it definitely was one of the better ones I've tasted. There was a ton of flavor packed into the broth and it was creamy enough, but not too overwhelming. Lively, but not loud. We had a nice chat with our server, Flavia, who turned out to be the "boss's (Fabio Pezzoli) daughter", and a delightful young woman! Fabio sent out a complimentary bruschetta for us to enjoy with our wine as we settled in. After hearing the specials and scouring the menu we ordered a pizza and a house made fettuccine with a creamy parmesan black pepper truffle sauce. Served with sliced truffles, it was a superb dish! I can honestly say that it was one of the best pasta dishes in recent memory! The pizza was thin, crispy and delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed it. For dessert, I enjoyed an espresso and a perfect panna cotta. Caroline simply enjoyed her wine. We closed the restaurant after visiting with Fabio and his friend, a well-known local writer Erik Fosnes Hansen. I let my friend tried a bit and she didn't like it either. I just think it was a flavor that Americans are not used to. My friend ordered the oxtail ravioli. That was actually really good. Service here wasn't great either. Apparently that's a common complain. Anyways I ended up spending $20 on a bowl of soup I detested.
