We feel Stratton Electric took advantage of us. We called for them to come out for the annual…read moretune-up of our generator. The first repair person said he didn't have a manual but hoped he had set everything correctly. It was working before he touched it, then it wasn't working. Stratton sent out 2 more repair people, and it was decided the control panel was burned out. We know it was not burned out when the first person came out because it was working perfectly. Stratton then charged us $435 for another trip charge to diagnose the problem, then another $1232 to replace the control panel. Phil told us that he would come up with a fair solution. He "magnanimously" reduced the trip charge by $285. We had no choice but to have them replace the part, since my husband is a disabled veteran on oxygen. We ended up paying $500 for the tune-up and $1373 for the repair. The most ridiculous and insulting part was Dawn Stratton acting indignant that we think they did something to our generator. Picture taking your perfectly running car into the shop for a tune-up. When you come back it's not running, but they deny all responsibility and want to charge you $1373 to diagnose and repair what they did to it. I bet the Strattons wouldn't accept that. We will not be using them in the future.

Communication was poor throughout the process, and repeated requests to correct the issues were ignored or delayed. As homeowners investing in a new property, we expected professionalism, accountability, and quality workmanship. Unfortunately, this company failed to comply with their contractual obligations and left us dealing with ongoing plumbing concerns and additional repair costs due to CH Plumbing not fixing and completing the work per contract agreement. A formal complaint will be filed with the Register Of Contractor. Jace Baum owner of CH Plumbing requested full payment before doing any work at our residence. I explained to Jace, we don't have any issues with paying him when the work is completed per our contact agreement and all repairs are fixed. Jace refused to fix issues and complete his contract agreement. I would strongly recommend that future customers thoroughly review contracts, inspect all work carefully, and consider other plumbing companies before making a decision. ( Mistakes - waterlines not centered for pedestal sinks, exposed water lines and pipes, punctured sliding placing a hose bibb under electrical box, not per code, all faucets and toilets not install per contract agreement. )

We rented a porta potty from Cheap Seats while waiting for a new septic tank to be installed. Unfortunately, it was an unpleasant experience for us because they were always too busy to pump it/clean it in a timely manner during the six weeks we rented it. We were told it would be cleaned weekly, and weekly cleaning is also posted on a website. They claimed to have a crazy busy schedule because it is fire season, which may be true. Regardless of their reasons, they could not provide the service for which we were paying, and it would have been better if they had just referred us to a different company. I did finally ask if they could refer us to a different company since they were so busy and since it obviously annoyed them each time we asked them to come pump/clean the rental toilet. We are happy to be renting from a different company as of today. One of the Cheap Seats owners actually cursed at me in a text because I contacted them after it had only been eight days since the toilet had been cleaned and they were only one day overdue. All of the other times we contacted her by phone or text, it ended up being about two weeks by the time they would come out, so I tried to speed up that process last time. She never apologized, but she did refund our last monthly rental payment and picked up their porta potty today. A portable toilet really does need to be pumped weekly to avoid odors. It is not fun needing a rented porta potty in the first place, and it is difficult to tolerate a smelly one. Hopefully, the second company will be able to stick to their promised weekly schedule for pumping/cleaning the portable toilet while we have it, and we won't have to beg them to do it or be treated badly.
