The alpacas, while not…read morevisibly scared of people, are not eager to be touched and are far less welcoming than Debbi and Hank. Debbi is an open, warm and informed host who gladly answers questions about her alpaca family, which she is passionate about. Although I did not have an appointment, which is advisable, and called from the farm's driveway, Debbi kindly drove over from her nearby home and spent an hour with me chitchatting about all things alpaca. For you alpaca enthusiasts, the Merrills also operate a small gift shop with items incorporating alpaca fleece, including yarn from their own animals (how often do you get to meet and learn the name and story of the creature whose body produced the material for the socks you are about to knit?), hats, sweaters, socks and stuffed animals. If it can be made with alpaca fleece or has a picture of an alpaca on it, Debbi probably has it in stock. If you thrill to the idea of hearing alpacas hum in close proximity, stop by and check out the alpacas and kitties and ducks and geese. Debbi and Hank will doubtless put out their welcome mat.

From the moment you step onto the farm, you're greeted with genuine hospitality and a sense of belonging. The owners, Cassandra & Mike have the best hearts and welcome visitors with open arms and a wealth of knowledge about their beloved goats and all of the wonderful products made from their milk. Their passion for animal welfare is evident as they go above and beyond to ensure the well-being and happiness of every creature under their care. Then there are the goats! Each one is a character in their own right, with personalities as varied as their colors and so lovable! Whether you're seeking a peaceful moment to connect with nature, the baby goats or with amazing people who live amongst us in our community the FBF goat farm is a must-visit destination. Prepare to be swept away by the kind heartedness of the owners, the sweetness of the goats, the thoughtfulness of fellow visitors, and the serene beauty of it all. Make sure to get some yummy ice cream / cream cheese(so many amazing flavors), luxurious soap, nourishing lotion, etc. I am also sharing their website if you would like more info: https://fantasticbeilingfarm.square.site As well as their QR code to assist with helping to support their rescue efforts. Enclosed in a large pen with hay, grass, and lawn chairs and tables for the goats to play around on are about 30+ baby goats. I was able to pet, cuddle, and hold any and all of the goats! Being able to love on these sweet animals was truly the highlight of my day, maybe even the year! I'm from out of state and cannot take any of these goats home with me, but if you live in the area there are baby goats from the farm available for purchase as well. It's only open on Sunday's from 12-3pm, so if you are looking to visit make sure to plan accordingly. In addition to the petting area, there was another pasture adjacent to the gated area where visitors can watch more goats, alpacas, Guinea pigs, and chickens roam about. If you want to go in the FBF market, various handmade goat milk items were for sale. I purchased the death by chocolate ice cream and it was delicious!
