To start off with…read moreits absolutely beautiful - rows and rows of tulips - pink, red, yellow, maroon etc. The pricing was about 9$ per person and 2.50 per tulip. One thing I will say is the ground was pretty muddy on the day we went - I wish I wore rain boots. That thick red clay mud is tough to wash off so I would keep that in mind! Also I saw several people with dogs - and that's really cool and good to know for future trips! The day we went they had several food trucks out there too. Debbi is an open, warm and informed host who gladly answers questions about her alpaca family, which she is passionate about. Although I did not have an appointment, which is advisable, and called from the farm's driveway, Debbi kindly drove over from her nearby home and spent an hour with me chitchatting about all things alpaca. For you alpaca enthusiasts, the Merrills also operate a small gift shop with items incorporating alpaca fleece, including yarn from their own animals (how often do you get to meet and learn the name and story of the creature whose body produced the material for the socks you are about to knit?), hats, sweaters, socks and stuffed animals. If it can be made with alpaca fleece or has a picture of an alpaca on it, Debbi probably has it in stock. If you thrill to the idea of hearing alpacas hum in close proximity, stop by and check out the alpacas and kitties and ducks and geese. Debbi and Hank will doubtless put out their welcome mat.

Enclosed in a large pen with hay, grass, and lawn chairs and tables for the goats to play around on are about 30+ baby goats. I was able to pet, cuddle, and hold any and all of the goats! Being able to love on these sweet animals was truly the highlight of my day, maybe even the year! I'm from out of state and cannot take any of these goats home with me, but if you live in the area there are baby goats from the farm available for purchase as well. It's only open on Sunday's from 12-3pm, so if you are looking to visit make sure to plan accordingly. In addition to the petting area, there was another pasture adjacent to the gated area where visitors can watch more goats, alpacas, Guinea pigs, and chickens roam about. If you want to go in the FBF market, various handmade goat milk items were for sale. I purchased the death by chocolate ice cream and it was delicious!
