I am a huge fan of this lounge. Although it is located in sleepy Uppsala, Plock has a big city feel - sleek and modern, yet very cozy and relaxing. They have a fully stocked bar with a wide selection of beer, wine and liquor. They are always playing good music that is electronic-leaning. On weekend nights, they have a DJ spinning all kinds of stuff. Also, although Plock is not a huge space, they can easily accommodate large groups. I have been here many times over the course of several years and Plock never fails to please.

My husband had the lamb topside (with sweet potato fondant, green beans, goat cheese crumbles, black kale crisp, and red wince sauce), which was good, but we found the lamb a bit overcooked. I ordered the pike-perch (with roasted Jerusalem artichoke, potato mash with dill, blackened lemon, and white wine sauce), which I thought was fantastic. A very expertly cooked piece of fish! Today, we rowed a boat over in the beautiful, warm summer day only to be told that only guests with dinner reservations were able to have a glass of wine on their immense/predominantly empty patio. Such a bummer! Apparently, this is only a Sunday policy(?). There was a fika station out on the terrace selling coffee/tea/refreshments/chokladbollar, etc. Since the opening/serving/drinking rules seem to shift with the tide, I'd recommend calling in advance to verify whether you can be served. With such a wonderful terrace, it's a shame not to be able to casually drop by and grab a drink. The restaurant serves amazing food, btw. I love this place.

The first thing I noticed about 60Kvadrat, was the atmosphere: cool interior design and layout. The location in the heart of Uppsala, but a bit hidden into a small cozy alley, supported my idea of how nice the place would be. This restaurant had to be tested. A few times I had to turn back at the door because I didn't have a reservation. The place seems to be full every evening. Although that does not require much, as the intimate restaurant fits about 30 people. Finally, I realized my own mistake at the third time and booked a table, which was more than worth it. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. Sometimes the state of the customer service ruins an otherwise wonderful experience, but here it indeed even improved it. While eating, the young guy came to ask us if everything was ok and if we enjoyed the food. We didn't have to answer anything else but an honest yes. Since food is an important aspect in rating restaurants, I can not forget to discuss that. Shortly, it was delicious. The menu is not too wide, but you can still find yourself from the hard situation of which plate to pick. I ended up taking the Chèvre salad with walnuts and honey. On the other side of the table I could see Al Taglio - a four square-shaped pizza pieces, with delicious fillings. The meals were beautiful. By their look and their taste. The prices are ok (or 'lagom' as they say in Sweden): neither a once-in-a-lifetime thing nor an everyday place to eat. After I came home from the restaurant, I started to think what would I say about it. It was hard to try to find anything negative. The slightly narrow size of the place would maybe be the only one. On the other hand, the atmosphere would not be as cozy and intimate without that. I really felt like 60Kvadrat was a complete positive combination in all areas.
