Horrible experience!! We had agreed on a price in August via test message but when we arrived in January, he wanted $200 more per month stating we did not have a contract. Golf Carts are not mechanically sound. We had 4 different carts and each of them had something wrong with them. He is very difficult to communicate with, and when we did reach him he was extremely rude. We would NEVER rent from this place again. read more

Called this company to arrange a golf cart for a visit to the villages and what a jerk! Called him late Friday but never got a answer or way to leave a message. Called again Saturday morning and he answers "hello?" Thinking I got the wrong number, I asked if he was the golf cart rental company. He responds with a laugh, "Ya, what do you want? You called me." I said I didn't like his tone and hung up. He called back and asked again what I needed. I told him I would like to rent a golf cart and he said, "You called me last night and didn't leave a message. Maybe if you'd have left one you'd get a golf cart!" Another chuckle from him and I hung up again. Not sure how they do business in Florida, but not the best interaction. My wife and I bought a used 2019 cart from these folks in November 2019. We got the color we wanted and features we wanted. Cart was deliver the day it was promised. We did have a couple of issues but we arranged for them to be fixed. Nothing major and the cart is running great and we enjoy it. I would add that communication could be better as many times we felt like we should have had a call back sooner. The cart was a great price, the add on seat was also a great price and so making a few extra calls wasn't the end of the world. Would recommend for price and selection. read more

Just bought a Yamaha from them. They were so fun. Test drove several carts and then chose the best one for me. What is it about a golf cart that makes you smile and wave at everybody? lol. I was driving around the parking lot smiling and waving. They delivered my cart to my house full of gas and all shined up. I would recommend them to anybody looking for personalized attention and care as well as technical expertise. read more

Was given a decent price for a 6 month rental, however, was then refused an opportunity to visit and see what it was I would be paying them a few grand for. Very condescending attitude. read more

She couldn't have been nicer and more informative. she answered all my questions, and there were many !!!!! I will definitely be a customer of theirs when I'm ready to buy. Called several rental providers looking for a rental in December. Called 1st cart. The gentleman who answered was curt, I explained to him what I was looking for and the rental period to which he answered how long is that?? He provided the quote which was more than reasonable to which I responded thank you and I'll get back to you. He immediately snapped "what do think it was going to be 50 bucks" The change in tone was concerning when I mentioned this he then said "Hey I make 10,000 a week and 150 won't matter. I'm concerned that if the cart encountered an issue this would be the response. Due to this I'm steering clear of 1st cart rental. I also called Village Discount Golf Cart who referred him and advised them their referral probably is short sighted. JB read more

I like this place!! I am a part time Villager, so I have needed a cart on and off for the last 2 years. I rented from 1st Cart Rental on a monthly basis, usually 3 months at a time, and about 12 months in total rents. The rental prices are very, very good! The Customer service has been outstanding! For all of these arrangements, the deliveries and pick ups have been prompt. Twice I had mechanical issues (flat/not run), and each time these were resolved within the next day. I always seem to get the extras that I want; (4 seats, golf rack, rain fly). I won't rent anywhere else, and I will be back!! read more

Run! rather than walk away!!! I purchased a used cart from them. Marc will not stand behind it. He developed a snotty manner on phone immediately when I said, "I bought a cart from you"; before I even said why I was calling. Cut me off mid-sentence and was sullen, belligerent and arrogant. When I continued and explained why I called he remained silent until I asked if he would stand behind it. He refused to check the cart, acted totally disinterested but said if he did repair it I would pay full price and labor if he did anything. Do business here totally at your own peril!!! read more

Literally the worst cart rental company in FL!! Does NOT insure carts at all. Completely ruined shocks and suspension on the cart and they sold us a two seater and called it a four seater. The cart only has a 300 lb weight limit but told us it is safe for four people... WHAT A JOKE! Do NOT rent from these guys - they will take advantage of the customer fully. I scheduled an appointment yesterday afternoon to have a golf cart delivered as a rental for this morning. I spoke to Marc. At 1020 am, I still had not heard from him so we called just to get a sense of what time he was coming. He proceeded to be extremely rude and say he'd get here when he got here. I called him back to let him know to if he would rather not do it today to just not worry about it. He was once again incredibly rude....said he was coming whether I liked it or not and would be here when he got here and THEN HUNG UP ON ME!!!! This person doesn't deserve to be in business. He acted completely and utterly horrible and I have never been spoken to like that by a business owner in my life!!!! Keep your golf cart and if someone else rents any of them from you, you need to use that money for some etiquette classes! Beware! NEVER do business with this guy! read more

Incredibly rude owner. Mark called me and left a voicemail when I didn't pick up because I live in Massachusetts and didn't recognize the number out of Florida. His message didn't say who he was trying to reach, just that he was calling about the golf cart pick up and to call him back. I didn't call back because I assumed he dialed the wrong number. He called back a couple hours later and I answered to inform him. He didn't introduce himself, just said "I'm calling about the golf cart". I said "I'm sorry you have the wrong number, who are you trying to reach?" To which he raised his voice and said "I'm trying to reach whoever rented the golf cart on Lance Lane!" I explained that wasn't me, I'm in Massachusetts and didn't rent anything and he replied "did you rent the golf cart of not??!!" I said "no" and he began to yell at me that I wasn't answering him fast enough. He said "speak up and answer me faster!" And then hung up before I could respond. I'm only giving 1 star because I have to select a star to write a review. WORST service EVER! They picked the cart up a day early with no notice and no explanation. The son dropped off and picked up the cart yet didn't know anything about the transaction. When the office was called, we spoke to Mark the owner, who basically called me a liar even though we had the pick up date written down and he didn't. He made no attempt to resolve the situation other than to tell us we're wrong when he doesn't even have written documentation of the transaction. The main frustration is with the disrespect of the owner and his lack of concern for the customer; I've never encountered such poor and rude customer service. Called to ask about pricing a delivery of a cart. After checking around at a few other placed I called to confirm price. I was hung up on 3 times because I was trying to confirm the price quoted and where they would deliver. This is a horrible business!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bought a golf cart from him with a "6 month warranty" and he claimed it was barely driven. Then received the golf cart and within 1 day the front wheels fell off and the steering is so loose we felt like it was going to tip over. We called and they sent a service tech out to our house. He had no explanation for the wheels falling off other then they forgot to put all of the lug nuts back on. Also looked into why it felt like it was going to tip over and the mechanic said the shocks were blown out and needed to be replaced. After 2 days of waiting no one showed up to fix it. We paid a visit to Marks place and he acted like he didn't know who we were and wasn't willing to help, but did state that the cart was driven hard before us "so what did we expect?" He is nothing but a shady business man who needs to be shut down. Hopefully karma gets this guy and gets him good. read more
