The problem with this is that he doesn't take notes and you end up having to retell your health situation over again to Dr. Scribner. I typically have a good relationship with my health care providers; so I was surprised that I could not relate to Dr. Scribner. He was unavailable on every level. I found Dr. Scribner to be cold, disinterested and unhelpful. I talked to others - this is a very small town - who shared with me that they had like experiences and recommended other providers who were actually warm and relateable. I would not recommend Dr. Scribner; his attitude and lack of bedside manner leaves one feeling like they don't actually have a doctor. And, if you owe anything on your account, you will be hounded relentlessly by daily phone calls, voicemails and emails. I guess his patient load isn't so big that his staff has plenty of time to pester patients over small amounts. One star is one star too many.

I visited the office of Dr. John Scribner, MD last week to get a sore on my hand treated. All of…read morethe nurses and staff I encountered were pleasant and efficient. Since I had been to this office twice before in the last five years, I was not surprised by the doctor's youthful appearance as he entered the exam room. I was again impressed by his caring and compassion. He asked relevant questions and listened intently to my answers. After his examination of the sore he informed me that I needed to have a simple surgical procedure to remove it and also told me that some people would rather have something like this taken care of by a dermatologist. He asked what I would prefer. I asked when he could do it and he said that he could take care of it in the next few minutes. I was impressed that I wouldn't have to make another appointment and return on a different day. I gave consent for the surgery, the nurse set up everything that was needed, and the procedure was done in a very short time. The wound is now healing nicely and I don't anticipate any problems. Dr. Scribner is a valuable asset to this community.

I was surprised by how friendly and helpful the staff here were. Without exception, everyone…read moretreated me well. Nurses were always polite and quick to respond. The standout was when the person from their food area asked how their food was. When I explained my preferences, they went out of their way to provide it, even to the point of buying some food at the local grocery store. I was impressed. I would have to say that this was the most pleasant hospital stay I have ever had. Maybe it's the small town culture.

I haven't had a primary care doctor in years--but I guess I needed one given all of my new health conditions. When I called dr Partain's number I was so surprised when she just picked up her phone! Then, she was able to add me on for an appmt literally less than 24 hrs later. I'm young, and I used to be healthy--so granted I don't usually go to the doctor often--but just having a physician on hand to run basic tests immediately, along with peace of mind indefinitely in the future--so well worth the $70 in my opinion. I will likely sign my fiancé up for the plan as well since it's so affordable. It's a No brainer in my opinion and I'm surprised I didn't do something like this sooner since there were definitely other things I needed to get done that Dr partain pointed out. I am currently staying in the hospital after having a major surgery yesterday. I was transferred to…read moremed surg floor afterwards, which is really dated and it well taken care of. The lights in my room don't work, there's buttons missing off the remote and some of the buttons on the bed do not work. So after 5pm it's just pitch black in my room because the lights don't work. I personally find this to be unacceptable. I was moved to the floor about 11:30am on Tuesday, the nurses called the cafeteria to order a tray. The nurses then called again numerous times after to follow up on this. The nurses did try to make this right, and bring me a sandwich, however my mouth and throat are dry from surgery so I could not eat it. I ended up having to door dash food in order to eat because the cafeteria staff didn't do their jobs, costing me about $30. The pain management has been a little ridiculous, I understand the opioid addiction problem we have right now in the US, however offering someone Tylenol for pain from a major surgery with some complications is absolutely absurd. Your patient shouldn't have to be in tears before you do something to help control the pain. All of the nurses on this floor have been kind and helpful so I have no complaints there however, having to order my own food by 3:30 pm when I hadn't eaten since 6:30 the night before, just to be able to eat it as absolutely absurd. The patient also having to be in such bad pain that they're in tears is also ridiculous. I've had minimal issues with any department at OZH and I've been to a lot of them, the therapy department staff at the desk in the Shaw building absolutely could use some customer service training, but we can ignore that issue at the moment because it's not inpatient where patients are having to deal with them for prolonged periods of time. I can't say I'd never have another surgery here, because the nurses have been great, but I'd absolutely have to be prepared with my own food and pain meds.
