Extremely kind and knowledgeable staff. By far my favorite urgent care in the area. Would recommend.

Kinda confused at this point because the first NP did the test and who is this guy with the attitude. Tells me that my symptoms are standard for the Moderna Shot. I am experiencing swelling, redness (rash) and heat at the injection site (injection was done at Wal-Mart Pharmacy on 4/23) I was out all day Saturday, felt good enough to take a shower on Sunday and came to Med Express on Monday to be tested. From my paperwork:"Negative CoVid test today. If symptoms persist, follow up where you got the covid vaccine. Er if worse." Like Wal-Mart Pharmacy is going to help me. Also from my paperwork "Discussed with patient the limitations to our antigen test including the possibility of their test being a false negative as the sensitivity of the rapid antigen test is 84%. Knowing this, the patient is declining confirmatory PCR testing." I called Med Express this morning and a call was put into Caleb to return my call which he did and I told him there must be a misunderstanding as the only thing I am declining is that I will not be getting the followup shot from Wal-Mart. He told me in that case I need to come in to have another test done as they use different swabs for the PCR confirmation. Now I am calling Bullshit on this as when I had Covid in January 2021 the test at Med Express was done with one swab and I had the rapid test and was later informed by the health department of my quarantine responsibilities, etc. The first AP did not tell me that the swab she was jamming up my nose was for the rapid test only. I am not impressed or pleased that I am now in the position of possibly having covid and being around a person at work who currently going through Chemo and have a couple of cancer survivors at work also. Nice Job Med Express. I think Caleb needs to be more clear and less attitude. Not impressed and will be speaking with my manager and doing a follow up with the health department.

She even offered bottled water and snacks to the waiting patients. The gal that checked me in once I went back was also friendly. She took the time to ask the reason why I was there and listen. Then, the NP came in, and she was just as professional and polite. She Rx a couple different meds and even recommended a few OTC meds. By the time I got to the Walmart pharmacy, they had my Rx and were working on it. Overall, this was the best Urgent Care experience I've had. I would definitely recommend them for minor emergencies. You can hold your spot online. Not sure how that benefits the person, but I'll try that if I ever need to go back.

I have consistently valued the healthcare services provided by Equality Health Care since…read morerelocating to Springfield from California with my husband. I found the concept of their healthcare model to be exceptional. Initially, I was under the care of Dr. Chambers, but upon discovering that they had female physicians on staff, and considering my sister-in-law's recommendation of Dr. Troy/Harrell, I decided to switch to a female doctor for my gynecological needs. Initially, Dr. Troy/Harrell was impressive, even removing a cyst during my first visit, which left a positive impression. However, approximately a year or two later, I experienced knee issues and, given my pre-existing diagnosis of Lupus in California, suspected a possible connection to a Lupus flare or another autoimmune disease. Unfortunately, Dr. Harrell seemed dismissive of my concerns and appeared skeptical about my Lupus diagnosis. Her proposed solution was to administer a shot without thoroughly investigating the underlying cause of my pain. Consequently, I opted to undergo testing at Any Lab Test Now, which revealed that I had Osteoarthritis. I forwarded the results to Dr. Harrell, but it is unclear whether she reviewed them, which is particularly concerning given the severity of my Lupus diagnosis, which required 1,000 mg of Prednisone for three consecutive days, followed by a year of chemotherapy. Fast-forwarding to the present, I recently experienced another issue that I suspected might be related to a Lupus flare, but I was hesitant to mention it due to feeling dismissed during my previous encounter. Therefore, I requested to switch doctors. Regrettably, I was informed that switching doctors was not permitted, and as a result, my membership was terminated, despite being a part of Equality Health Care for 16 years. The moral of this experience is that one should not attempt to switch doctors, as it appears that the organization prioritizes maintaining the status quo over patient satisfaction. It seems that they are not interested in ensuring the happiness of their patients.
