For the first time in my life, I locked myself out of the house. I've gotten so used to locking the…read moredoor behind me any time I leave (if only to check the mail or take the garbage out), that I failed to think about the other part of my routine: check that my keys were on me. The fortuitous thing was that I had my phone on me (which I never do). So, to recap: locked door (usual). No keys (unusual). Phone on my person when exiting my house in my yard (highly unusual). So, thanks to the above facts I didn't panic. I smh'ed some and went about looking on Yelp for a locksmith. Up popped 'Pop-A-Lock.' I called, explained myself and gave my address. The process couldn't have been easier. The person on the phone gave me the price and the expected wait time. Fine. This happened in mid-fall so the weather was pleasant and, thankfully, I was dressed, fed and not in need of the facilities. Within the quoted time period, my lock technician pulled up, ascertained my identity (I appreciated the safety measure; I did this on my phone but I wonder what would have happened had I not had some form of ID on me. Note to self, kids), asked what kind of key I used, and popped the lock in no time flat. I was a combination of impressed, grateful and a little horrified. It's really easy to break into a house if you know what you're doing and have tools. Get a security system, people. I paid him. I thanked him. And, he was on his way to assist the next idiot who locked themselves out. I hope not to be in this situation again but if I am, I'll know who to call. Hopefully, I'll have my phone on me.

He said I had the wrong tool to remove the hub cap covers. He ended up Peking out of the parking lot when I called GEICO to let them know he was refusing to change my tire. After he left I text the picture of the tool to my friend that works for Audi and he said I had the right tool. Took me 5 seconds to remove them... my roommate came and she changed my tire (with my assistance) I called the manager Sam... he made excuses for the guy... but did say that 3 hours in unacceptable.

This is my second review for Driveways By Daniels…read more David and Melanie came out and gave me a bid when they said they would. The bid was reasonable and was accepted that day. I was told three weeks and that is pretty close to the start day except for a couple of rain out days. David arrived and within a few hours he had finished tearing out the old patio and he had an understanding of the original project and a new one that I had added that would be approx. 1,000 sq. ft. Tearing out and hauling away, framing and pouring concrete was the order of the day for quite a while, all while trying to dodge the weather systems as they rolled through. The concrete was poured in stages, and some touch up work had to be done because as David said, "this is not up to my standards." That tells me that he has very high standards and will make sure that every job is done right and finished right. They cleaned up and they are for the most part gone. David told me today that he has one more thing he wants to clean up but that the temp had to be above 50 degrees to complete. The bottom line is this... Would I hire him again? Absolutely yes. David smiles a lot, has a great disposition, is very accommodating, and generally a great person to have around, and he does great concrete work.
