He m,emetic nail pop and nothing else. I waited, and did not accept the non-response well. I called the company and expressed my concern that the worker seemed non-chaalant about what happened, and wondered if Pro-Safe would take care of it. Immediately I heard, the contract states we are not responsible for 'mail pops and other consequential" damages. I asked to hear from the owner. Jeff called and immediately went on offense about how dare I insinuate his company was not reputable and so on...although I dont believe I insisted such. Again he mentioned that Pro-Safe was not responsible for nail pops...that stuff happens. Mind your, at this point, no one looked at the ceiling from the inside. He simply defended that his guys stepped on a beam causing a nail pop. Hang in there...photos to follow. Finally, one of his guys looked at the damage and agreed...a bit more than a nail pop. He proceeded to tell me that something gave way in the attic, a guy lost his balance and stepped on the ceiling. He caught himself but the weight bowed and cracked the ceiling. Accidents happen. Jeff and I talked again, both a bit calmer. He agreed to send a guy out to repair the ceiling and agreed to take the bill. The drywall person Jeff sent was excellent. However, there is only so much one can do on a ceiling repair without painting the entire ceiling. So, while the damage is gone, the mismatch remains. Lessons here for me: Stay calm, even when the owner is not. Convince them to assess before citing contract language. For the owner: Get facts first...all the facts. Before you cite a routine nail pop, someone should assess. Expect owners to get excited when one of your guys nearly comes through the ceiling. Bottom line: Workers were efficient, got the job done in a few hours. Not sure if I'll see an ROI but that is what happens with insulation...you hope for improved comfort. All in all, would have been much better without the damage.

I was walked through everything that was recommended and was sent a quote via e-mail. The company does give you a discount if you sign the estimate within 10 days. I knew this project was desperately needed, so I signed immediately since the price was great. I have had several companies come into my home a few years ago with quotes that were significantly higher than what I was quoted by Sustainergy in October 2021. On install day, there were 2 workers who came in and worked very quickly to get the job done. They asked permission before completing a lot of the tasks (like opening a window, etc.). Very appreciative of the service! Both worked at my two separate attic entrances quite effectively and about half way through mentioned that my bathroom ventilation was damaged. They were able to call in and add it to my invoice and repair it right away! Loved that! They had protective barriers laid out to protect the floors. However, there was a bit of a dust layer left over on all my furniture after they left (to be expected), but it cleaned up easily with the vacuum and soap/water. As of December 13, 2021, over a month since the install - my house has definitely retained the heat and my furnace does not run nearly as much! My November bill was $60 less than it was last year! The second time they insulated for 24 minutes before I was told they needed to leave early. On the afternoon Matt Dias promised they would finish the job; they were a no show. At this point I had lost all confidence in Koala Insulation and asked them not to return. Owner Matt Dias said he would settle at 45% complete and sent me an invoice for 48%, although they only performed roughly 20% of the quoted work.
