There was a very unhappy old woman sitting at a desk in the back, who greeted us by telling us we wouldn't find anything we wanted at her shop, and that we should go to the other shops in town, where we had just been. We had bags in our hands. She never got up out of her seat but proceeded to lecture us on antiques, and most bewilderingly, she gave us an entire spiel about how senior citizens have no money. We tried to let her know as kindly as possible that we knew about antiques, but she wasn't listening to a word we were saying. We browsed a little but all she seemed to want to do was fight with us, so we wished her luck and quickly left. It was sad. A real head scratcher. We talked about the old lady most of the way to Seattle and came to the conclusion that her business would ultimately fail. Her inventory was used-up looking. She was very off-putting and in fact drove us right out the front door. If she's ever wondering why her business is not booming, this is why.
