It wasn't until a friend suggested it, on account of the fact that a former roommate was going to be playing that night, that I got the opportunity to go. Sounded like a decent adventure... We got there and the first thing I noticed was how LIVELY everyone was. A lot of dive bars have a tendency to let themselves become droopy, borderline pathetic places - but this isn't one of them! Everyone was smiling, laughing, dancing and having a great time. The second thing I noticed was how drunk everyone was. I don't think a single person in there could've passed for sober. Kind of an odd thing to walk into if you are sober like I was. There's a vibe and you ain't in it! Third thing is that this place does not appear to have a target demographic or a decided crowd. I saw people who looked to be at the springy end of early twenties, all the way up to the geriatric crowd. Further, a whole wide range of races and aesthetics, which made it even cooler to watch how much everyone was vibing together. There were a few times where the entire place smelled like an ever-revolving mix of weed, cigarettes, alcohol, cheap perfume, expensive perfume, body odor, food...it was a heady hodge-podge of life stank, which is exactly what a place like this should smell like. The live music was awesome - my friend said that the roomate's dad was also playing in the band that night, and as I watched how lovingly that dad looked at his son as he played, I made a comment about it to my friend. It was then that my friend gave me one of those really cool "ow my heart" looks and said, "his dad is actually blind." Pow, right in the soul, right?! Come here on a night there's live music - zero regrets, 10/10 would do again.

Small parking lot around what appears to be a house, but it's so much more. It's a dive bar. Multiple TVs had a golf tournament on but that didn't keep the conversations from being lively. Even we were greeted with smiles from the bartender. We bellied right up and made friends. She was so fun to talk to even while being worked hard with the busy crowd. We did discover that the name was changed to Careny Tap about 5 years ago, but there are still hits of the old name, and Google also had an old name on the map. We started a tab and they took a card or cash. We had a couple drinks and I loved watching the bartender work. My husband was very pleased with the beer options available. They had some beers that not a lot of places carry and I think he was so excited to find some unique ones she had to offer. Not too crowded so we won a free drink and a $$ prize. Pool table was also free that night, outside in the transformed garage where there was also a pickle bar court I think. It was raining so I couldn't tell. You can also smoke outside if you choose. The bartender was very nice and the drinks were good. It was our lucky night at Notm's. We will visit again.

They have an INSANE beer selection (all bottles FYI), it's dimly lit, AND they have a pool table in the back. What more could a girl ask for?! Taking 1 star off because it is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to see the beer selection because of how dark it is. The amazing bartenders have a flashlight behind the bar in case you need the light (like me). Also I don't know if I've ever been able to find a decent pool cue there. It will not be stopping me from returning to play more pool though.

We came here to see a band we like (Sister Sarah)…read more This place is conveniently located just off the interstate and in a shopping center. We are told it used to be a bank, but we checked the vault and sadly no money was left there for us... There are multiple entrances to use - Front, back side... It looks like the locals use the front, and the band lovers use the other doors...just an observation. The bar is very large and double sided which makes it super accessible There is lots of seating and entertainment to be had. Darts, and Pool tables and televisions - they move the pool tables aside and cover them so the band can play and so there is more dance floor. They respectfully shut the music off and the TVs down while the band plays too - nice touch! We were able to walk up to the bar and get nicely priced drinks served very quickly despite how busy they were. All of the employees were very friendly and accomodating. Food looks like it is limited to the frozen pizza, but hey better than nothing. (There are multiple options just outside the front door if you want other food) The place is large and there is pent of room to accomodate a large crowd, and still room to dance! (Maybe next time) It is still obvious it used to be a bank, but it works for a bar. They should turn the Vault into a VIP room! We will keep an eye out for our favorite bands playing here. PRO TIP: Conveniently enough you can also get here using only back roads.

Yes, part of this place use to be a bank so the old vault is still there. We came out to see a live band and the acoustics were very good. We did bar service and that was good so no issues there. I am told they will be expanding to a food menu so at this time I cannot comment on table service or food. Looking forward to coming back to see how this place develops.
