We rented a chainsaw from 202 Rent all only to find the unit had a dull blade on the first attempt at cutting a log. I sent my wife over for a sharp chain. The guy said that it was unlikely that the saw went out with a dull blade but threw the replacement on the counter saying "we'll settle this up in the end". The next morning that same guy, Hal, examining the original dull blade tried to blame the user of hitting a nail and continued condescendingly lecturing me, an experience arborist, on how it only take a second to dull a blade by touching the ground or hitting a window weight inside the wood. I replied "absolutely not" and that I would never do business there again. He replied "That right, you'll never do business here again". As I'm sure you're well aware by the point you've reached my review, this place is truly the worst. All of the negative reviews are exactly right and I'm 100% sure the positive reviews are just family members, or something. Unfortunately for us, despite seeing the negative reviews, we were forced to go here because it was the only warranty approved service center in the area for our machine. The service is horrific and every guy who works there is incredibly rude and condescending. I can't believe a company with such bad customer service can stay in business. When we arrived, I tried my hardest to be respectful, drum up some small talk, and be nice to these guys. It didn't matter at all, they were all miserable. Even my father-in-law, who is a super sweet guy and dislikes no one on earth, hated this place. Just do yourself a favor and go anywhere else for repairs or purchases. If you are forced to go here because of a warranty repair, god save your soul. Oh and in our case, they wouldn't even value the warranty and we had to pay anyways, even though the machine company told us to bring it there. read more

Before I begin I need to note that at least one star is required to submit a review. That alone should tell you where this is going... From the moment I walked through the door Hal purposely tried to make my experience awful. I came in hopes of renting equipment for yard work and thought I would be dealing with a professional. Hal lacked a desire to be friendly from the onset. It's unfortunate others have to work with and for this curmudgeon. Hal was rude, condescending & belittling as if his: "40 years of being in business" gave him the merit. After reading other reviews on FB it is no coincidence that Hal is a bigoted racist. But hey, I can appreciate the transparency being fully aware that don't have to patronize his establishment. This is why the Home Depot's & Lowes (of the world) are winning. Yes to what everyone else said ( minus the 5 star review, somehow I don't believe it). These guys are the WORSE--even the younger guys are crabby and rude. They all need to get the sticks out of their asses and take a course in customer service. After all, you are selling/renting equipment. Rented here out of convenience... NEVER again. I doubt this place has repeat customers. I should have known from the initial conversation with Hal not to do business with him or his company. Gruff, rude, unprofessional, miserable - all of these adjectives describe him. I rented a mini backhoe and trailer in order to take out some unwanted brush in my yard. 24 hour rental, $408. He gave me a 30 second overview of the controls and it was pretty straightforward. Wouldn't start the next cold morning and Hal berated me on the phone when I called to ask what to do. I carefully used the choke, did not overdo it with the ignition switch, etc., but Hal ripped into me that I burned out the starter and solenoid on the machine. I told him to pick up the machine because I didn't want to deal with him ever again. He refused to take off any money from the $408 even though I used 10% of my work time. I had to rent a few tools during an emergency. Tools were satisfactory. Not the worst but definitely seen their better days. The worst part is the service. The guys here could all use a class on how to smile and be pleasant. I guess you don't expect white glove service at an equipment rental place. However, I felt my very presence in their store annoyed them. I probably won't return. read more

If I could give NO stars, I would. I rented a wood chipper here for a local job. The wood chipper broke down in the middle of using it. I took it back to them because that was on the Terms of the contract that they had to supply me with a different one. They told me I could have the new chipper out of courtesy for an extra day because they didn't have it rented out and it should not have broken down on me. When I returned it they charged me for the extra day and when I questioned the extra charge, the owner denied ever offering me that courtesy and began screaming and cursing at me. This is by far the WORST company I've ever done business with. I will never do business with them again. They are fraudulent, disrespectful and unprofessional. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! read more

Al has terrible people skills. I called and asked for a stump grinder and wanted the newer one we had previously used since some of their equipment looks like it came from world war II army surplus, old and tired. Al said he couldn't guarantee it and we don't do that. He wasn't even willing to look and see what was in stock. No wonder this place is small when other local places are growing out of control. We received an invoice for a machine that was not used because apparently because of a jam. I called 202 Rent-All immediately after seeing the invoice. I spoke with Hal about the Large 100 HP 12" chipper that we called in the moment we started using the chipper on site and reported to them that nothing was coming out the chute at first feed and they forwarded the call to their shop department and gave us instructions on how to diagnose it and followed their instructions and cleaned out the machine and we could not get it to work. The support team was not much help at all. This machine should be able to handle branches up to 12" inches and Hal said and I quote "The machine can get jammed even by a small pencil" ... Really? Furthermore he insulted our employees by saying and I quote "we had incompetent people operating the equipment" while we have rented and used chippers many times and used the same operator. Our company E.G. Rall Jr. Landscape Design used Total Rental, Rental World and Norris Sales and when this type of situation happens these companies provide better support and customer service and are much better at handling calls. I strongly suggest to use 202 Rent-All as your last resort. read more

I rented a white 10 x 10 canopy for a party in my back yard. it cost $50 for 3 days, not bad. When I opened it up it had 2 holes in it, the center support post lock did not work, it had mildew all over it and was generally dirty. The leg posts were all rusty and I also did not receive any tent spikes with it. It was too late for me to return it so I used it as it was. When I returned it I told the store operator about it and asked for a reduction of the rental cost he refused and told me that..."my expectations were too high." Yeah, I rented dirty, mildewed tent with holes in it and with parts missing and parts that didn't work and my expectations were too high. I told him that I thought he was a terrible business man and that is when he began yelling at me so I decided to cut my losses and leave before he became any more angry/violent...I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT RENT FROM THIS INDIVIDUAL. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS "BUSINESS" I rented an aerator and trailer for one day. Within 5 minutes of leaving 202 Rent-All a woman driving next to me was kind enough to inform me one of the trailer lights was out. I had a lot of work to get done so I wasn't going to drive back to complain about something minor. Even though the guys that loaded the trailer watched my pull away as i tapped the brakes. So I continued on my long day. After running the aerator for an hour and a half it shut off on its own while the tines were engaged. As I get off and try to start it up the pull cord snaps. The pull cord on this machine was beyond brittle and not even an actual pull cord. It was just some crappy string that has been sitting outside 24/7 365. So I immediately call the owner. I was told it was my problem to fix. I was also told that aerators are not made to be on hills. Which is complete BS. I've worked in the turf management industry for many years. Not every property is a putting green. We live in Pennsylvania, where rolling hills are a big part of our landscape. I had to go and buy tools and a new pull cord out of my own pocket while wasting multiple hours. I literally paid 202 Rent-All to fix THEIR piece of equipment. I checked the oil and it was dirty as I've ever seen. This turned out to be a nightmare of a day. You would think that renting out equipment is how you make a living, so you would take pride in what you give your customers. Not here, they just want your money. They take no responsibility for the equipment they own and rent out. Once you rent it, anything that happens is YOUR problem. If you want to be stressed, treated like shit, and rent equipment that is in no shape or form "ready for the job" then by all means throw your money away to this place. I received no compensation or even a simple "sorry" for how I was treated. Do yourself a favor and rent from a reputable business. I wish I had read these reviews prior to renting from here. I rented a trencher from this place. They were the only ones with a 36 inch bar. The machine was probably 15 years old and the muffler was rusted off..needless to say it was loud as hell. Once I took it home and used it, they failed to tell me to press a certain button to allow the engine to start. Ok, I will take the blame for that but education should have been provided before letting me leave. Then, the machine broke down. I called for help. The service rep. instantly yelled at me and was extremely rude. He sent out a repairman and he spent almost 2 hours to repair it. I went to return it, they charged me a whole day for which I only used it for 3 hours ..lost a lot of time on the repair and learning how to use it. Bottom line, their equipment is old and dirty with the worst customer service. I will never go back and I suggest you heed my advice. read more
