We are the owners of 4 rentals in Prescott and are very happy with our choice to have Rent Right manage the rentals for us. We live in NJ so it's imperative to have a team of professionals that we can trust and rely on. We're confident and comfortable with the way Rent Right handles our rentals from vetting potential renters, maintaining contractual agreements, basic collection of rental income to the huge responsibility of routine as well as emergency building maintenance and ongoing renter relations they consistently go above and beyond. Communication is a key component for business relationships to remain successful and I can attest that the team members at Rent Right are quick to return texts, emails or phone calls and never seem to be to busy to answer questions or explain a situation and even make recommendations. Michael Yarnes, the owner of Rent Right and his team of professionals are trustworthy and set a standard of honesty and professionalism that many other property managers could aspire to.

If she decides she does not like you, she will not answer or return your calls or emails. She will even avoid you on property. Writing to the management company, calling them, will get no response whatsoever. I moved out on June 8, with rent paid up until the end of June. Without any communication to me, she rented out my apartment early. The parking space, mailbox and unit I was paying for, began being used by someone else! I only learned this when I visited her in the office to return keys. She has my forwarding address but here we are at the end of July without my substantial deposit returned. This is against the law, both collecting double rent and not returning my deposit with an accounting within 14 days. The voice mailboxes are always full and she ignores all attempts at communications. She has behaved outrageously in many other ways, as well. Snaps and yells at residents and is generally rude and runs the place like a dictator.. She prides herself on getting new customers but retention is a problem. There are many unhappy residents. Since no one at the Winfield at the Ranch property cares, it's time for small claims court and reporting Winfield to the authorities.

We were the first residents to live in our apartment and had many experiences. I would give this community a five star review, but the office manager is the reason I'm not. At first Pam in the office was very helpful and inviting. She helped us get our apartment in a very short time frame and was very accommodating. After the first six months or so, she became very hard to get in contact with. We would call numerous times during normal business hours with no answer. After a few unanswered phone calls, we would go down to the office to try and contact her in person, only to find that the office was closed. Mind you this was during normal business hours and happened on several occasions. I could understand if it was once or twice and maybe she was out of town, out for lunch, etc. Pam is very strict on the residents, but does not hold herself to the same standards. She is very hypocritical on her rules and makes it apparent that she is above them. One example is the parking rules. You're allowed to have one car per resident and one covered parking space per unit. Pam on the other hand at one time at three vehicles of her own, taking up two garage spaces and parking the third vehicle under a covered parking spot. These vehicles included a Ford pickup, a Dodge Challenger and an older station wagon. Now, if there was an open garage space available, I can see how this would be appropriate. But when you have a waiting list for garages and your community manager is using two of them for her personal vehicles, and parking in covered spots, I feel as if this is inappropriate. Also, you are not allowed to back in to parking spots (which is normal protocol for communities), but numerous times Pam's Challenger would be backed into a parking spot without her moving it for hours. She once gave me a "parking violation", a bright orange sticker, on my vehicle for being backed in for 30 minutes. The apartment itself was nice and felt like home. The best part was the pest control, we seldomly had any bugs, and if we did they were very small and minimal. Holiday patio contests were fun and made the community feel very festive. The pool and gym are nice community amenities and were always clean. We would have renewed our lease if it wasn't for two things: Pam and the monthly rent increasing drastically.

After the other two…read morebig rental agencies in town told me multiple lies, contradictory statements, and extorted lots of money from me, I was worried there were no honest rental agencies in Prescott. I am pleased to say that throughout several issues that we worked through with Journey, I always felt like I was treated fairly. When I compare the leases from Journey with the others in town, it seems that Journey has higher and more explicit fees for violations of the lease. I prefer that over the other agencies that seem to make their money by bullying and deception. I get the sense that this is why other reviewers were not happy with Journey. I much prefer those who do things by the books as Journey does, because there are no surprises. What the lease says is what happens. And they have been willing to work with me and the owner to adjust down fees for my minor violations. That combo of transparency and flexibility gives comfort. A minor issue is that they give service windows for visits of 3-4 days which seems excessive; would prefer a specific time. They do lots of maintenance; every few months they will come out and change the furnace filters which is something that other rental companies require tenants to do themselves. And there are inspection walkthroughs regularly. Another rental agency took months and lots of reminders to get an issue with dryer vent clogging fixed. With Journey the dryer vent clog was fixed with just one request on my part, and they even went above and beyond to replace the outside vent cover so the problem wouldn't happen again. When a button on the stove didn't work, they replaced the whole stove with a brand new unit. Communication with Ryan and Sharon was professional and efficient.

It took about a week for someone to come out to finally take the microwave out and get a new one in. Within a few weeks the fridge then takes a dump. The parking situation here became frustrating when we tried addressing the owners to put up towing signs because someone was in my spot and refused to leave. All we got basically from them was a "deal with it". It wasn't until we decided to threaten to break the lease due to them being in violation of the contract that they actually gave a rat's ass to do anything about it. Around the time we moved out to leave, had charged just late fee on rent that was never late at all. During post move out, they said we were eligible for a prorated rent because we left halfway through the month. Not only did we not get reimbursement of that prorated rent but now they are saying that we owe them over $400 after I basically spent the last 2 hours cleaning the inside of the apartment and left it in a cleaner state that it was in before we moved in. I have rented many times for many years in my life and this has to be THE WORST Management I've ever dealt with. STAY FAR AWAY!!
