I loved their selection of South Carolina hats, artworks, household items, clothing, etc. Also, as a philatelist, (one who loves mail) this is one of the few places in Columbia to buy postcards (and they're affordable as well!) They also had a lot of cool Carolina and Clemson merchandise, as well as items that highlight the history of the state of South Carolina. All-in-all, it was a great store, and my only complaint is that it's not its own standalone location! Would highly recommend!

Cotton Mill Exchange is often thought of as the gift shop located within the South Carolina State…read moreMuseum. However, it's really more than that. It doesn't just handle museum related items and souvenirs. Its inventory is related to everything of the entire State of South Carolina. As they state, they've "...explored every corner of the state to bring you the best of South Carolina," and from what I've seen they have done that and then some. It's a really big store and has most everything one can think of that would be South Carolina related and most of the goods are of superior quality, not just cheap Chinese built trinkets. But the best part is the selection. They have everything from jewelry to clothing to home decorator items and the staff is more than willing to assist. It's really one of the better shops I've seen within or a part of any public museum.

Everything is real wood. Beautiful crafted, the right colors, the right styles. It is just perfection. The prices are reasonable and they do offer delivery for a flat rate fee in the local area. I feel in love with all the decorations, pillows and other house decorating items. I really like the wide selection of everything they had to offer. Benches, tables, kitchen sets. Really intuitively designed furniture with all the bells and whistles, extra storage space, etc. They had velvet dining room chairs that were just lust-able they were so beautiful. No matter what style your home is decorated in, you will find something here that is a good fit for what you are looking for. If you want local, high quality, beautifully crafted pieces of art. Look no further than Copper Barn Furniture.

So I drove to Columbia to the address listed and it looked like an empty warehouse. I talked to the people that had a business near by and they said they haven't seen anyone there in weeks. So now we are probably going to dispute it with our bank. It's sad because we really were looking forward to getting this table and they don't communicate at all. So think twice about doing business with them. We are gonna report them to the sc department of consumer affairs if they don't get in touch with us asap.

Definitely not my forte, but fortunately one of the employees named Hope knew exactly what we were looking for and went above and beyond in assisting us. It was more than just good customer service that we appreciated, she took our little project very seriously, had such a sweet demeanor in showing us everything we needed to complete our task. At the end, there are a couple store managers overseeing our projects completion and I could really tell that the workers in that store genuinely got along well and it spilled over into an experience that led me to search for a way to post a review. In this day and age, rare is the case where a store worker and others are truly helpful, the people in charge certainly fit that bill! As a business owner myself, I recognize talent in the workforce, folks like Hope and your managers (whose names I missed) could work for me, and I'm a tough judge of winning workers.

There are a number of quality hobby shops that offer a wide variety of arts and crafts items, but Hobby Lobby seems to combine every imaginable crafty DIY product imaginable. Seeing my daughter's face light up and hearing her verbal gasps as she wandered throughout this art and craft sanctuary was a wonder to observe. Note: We live in Hawaii. We have a couple small craft stores, but nothing remotely like this. On my part, having just purchased a house to renovate, my brain was going overboard with the endless decorating possibilities that Hobby Lobby could afford. Realistically however, I doubt that I will personally do any shopping for that house (especially since I live in Hawaii), but I'm sure most every home has a person that would LOVE this place. I know that my family does.
