This place takes advantage of its close location to the 10 freeway to charge extra for cash vs credit. If you use a credit card, in addition to charging you $0.10 more per gallon for gas, they limit your transaction to $50. If you have a car or truck that takes more than 15 gallons, you are probably going to be out of luck and have to do two transactions. That seems really inconvenient for a Shell gas station, which should easily accommodate larger transactions and should not rip customers off for using credit cards. If you have a club card, you might be able to get a discount - but most of that will be absorbed by the needless business practice of overcharging customers for using the most common form of payment at gas stations. The convenience store is very small and does not offer many choices. They also overcharge for just about everything and it is definitely not worth getting any snacks here. Specifically Arizona iced tea is supposed to be $0.99 but they add an additional charge on top of that (in addition to tax and CRV). If you are on a road trip, give this place a miss in favor of another gas station. read more

This is a review about the Shell on 22nd and Ramsey in Banning, CA. As of this writing, there is a picture here of a Shell gas station that is NOT this Shell. Just so you know. This is my favorite gas station. Jesus and the rest of the crew are so pleasant and polite, and professional. The place is super clean. The bathrooms are clean. Every employee I've ever dealt with here has been absolutely professional, courteous, and efficient. I'm very picky about gas stations. This one is like an Apple store. Well, not quite. I mean, I wish they would fix the fact that their south-facing terminals, the LCD displays don't show very well in the sunlight. But that's not the fault of the people running this. I have been seeing the same people here for at least 2 years and that is saying a lot for a gas station. And they run it clean. Best gas, my favorite. read more

This place is definitely not the place to go to. I have spent countless visits for fuel both my car and my wife SUV. Also, used the car wash multiple times. This past Wednesday, I decided, after having dinner with my family, I should stop by and get a quick car wash for my wife's SUV. Since i didn't have time to get it detailed, sounded like a great idea. Man ... was I wrong. 1st off, I get the works, why not, as I usually get it, $12.99 sounds fair. Sometime halfway it stops. So we just sit and wait ... wait some more ... And ... wait even more. About 5 minutes of waiting and nothing happening, I drive forward and hoping the machine buzzes and tells me to back up but nothing. Pull back and forth, with no success. I pull out and talk to the front staff. I let the counter lady know what happened. She gets defensive and tells me she can't give me a free wash. I told her I am not asking for a free wash but just get it working. She then continued to be very defensive stating that the machine has been working just fine before and haven't had any problems. I tell her, well, now you do have a problem. I asked whom can I speak to regarding this matter? As my car is soaking wet and has soap. Also if there's any towels or anything to wipe it down? Very rudely she replied NO. I leave very upset and confused, but at least I have the name of the manager, Jesus, thinking he will get this resolved. I drive around the block to my house. Next day I call and told he's on lunch. Ok well I have a busy schedule and call him the following day. Wow ... is this guy a joke. I explained the situation, his response shocked me, "it didn't have any problems before you". Really mr manager? Same as the other lady, very defensive and rude. Talks to me as if he's talking to his friend from the "hood". Like come one man, be professional and talk at least as a person that's in charge of a business and not as a rude run down business. I reminded him that we have a problem now with the machine. Keep in mind, I pump gas here twice a week for my car and another twice a week for my wife's SUV. We have a shell credit card cause their the go to place for gas. Now, I have the manager with no customer service skills or any care for his customers, careless of my hundreds of dollars I spend there every month, I'm out of luck. Take my lost. He then says the owner is the next step if I want to go get this resolved but don't count on the owner, Ben, to do anything about it. As he will tell me what the last 2 employees have been taught to tell their customers, "the machine had no problem before you". I remind him, over $12.99 car wash you will loose a regular customer that spends hundreds of dollars. It's not even about the wash but his service and rude attitude. He called me a liar. He even mentioned about his cameras inside the car wash. I tell him to please check them. I gave him the date and time when I purchased the service. He then declines on viewing the cameras, as he doesn't have access. Make up your mind. Needless to say, with the heat we've had recently, my Cadillac Escalade ESV, now has waterspots all over it. Come on now. You tell me I have no reason to be upset. This could have easily been avoided. It sucks, now to find a gas station and car wash spot that values their customers. read more

If i would've seen all the bad reviews about the car wash prior to getting one, i would have never got one! Same thing happened to me on Friday 11/16/18, i paid for a wash and the damn thing stopped on me. I went in to let the cashier know what happened and i was informed that the manager has a no refund rule. He said they have to see the camera before a refund can be issued. I was like "WTF" "That is ridiculous ", but ok whatever I'll have to come back. He took my name and number so that the owner could review the video. So i remembered about this and called them today 11/20/18. The so-called manager answered the phone and i told him my 1st name he then told me my last name (which obviously already knew but no one called me). He proceeded by telling me that the owner saw the video and said nothing was wrong with the machine. Ok so now I'm pissed off because i wouldn't be going through all this BS for $9 but i will get petty if necessary! I honestly went off on the manager and let him know i no longer want a car wash, i want my $9 back! He said i will have to speak to the owner..... well ok i will speak to that money hungry bastard! Ugh!!! Sorry so long, but don't ever go to this gas station for anything! It's not worth giving business to a unreasonable jerk like this one! Came here three days ago with a buddy of mine for a car wash and went through BUT their was no soap coming from the machine only wax water and dry. My friend went in to see if he can get another with soap or a refund and the guy says he can't do anything unless we have a receipt but my friend paid with card at the terminal and even showed the guy the transaction on his card and still no refund and the guy even knew the machine was out of soap yet never closed it off. Never got a refund and got horrible feedback. Tried giving this place a chance after the last encounter but to no prevail still operated by idiots. read more

The gas pumps sooooooooo slowly, the gas pumps are very sloooooooow to respond and when you ask for a receipt you are informed ( after an insufferable amount of time ) that the clerk inside has it. I've been at the carwash several times and now I'm never coming back I tried to give it chances and the thing keeps quitting right in the middle of a cycle and the manager on site refuses to give my money back and says there is nothing wrong with the machine outside that I had to have left my car in drive and that my car is making the machine turn off! I am not an idiot I I put my car in park and the machine stops on its own. All I want is for them to reset it so I can wash my car. He makes a big scene with other customers in line instead of just resetting it and told me I could come back on Monday to talk to Ben who is the owner if I want to discuss it any further. Rude manager!!! Car wash stopped without drying and I merely went in to tell the cashier of the problem. I wasn't asking for a refund, merely reporting the problem.
