They've renovated the station in recent years to include more escalators, which drastically improves the pedestrian flow. However, the really not-so-good part is that they didn't reconnect the sky bridge that used to link the station with Metropolis. Heard it was some dispute between the City and the owners of Metropolis. Now everyone is forced to cross Central at street level, which makes life a lot more difficult. Knock 1 star off.

There was a pretty good rebuild between 2015 and 2018 that improved capacity and the flow of passengers due to the shopping centers and multi-story living buildings that were added to the neighborhood. According to metrics, it is the second most busy terminal on the entire SkyTrain network. The station is handicapped accessible with lift and escalators. There is also a pedestrian bridge across the road that leads to the bus terminal and shopping. It is between Patterson (towards Waterfront) and Royal Oak (towards King George or Production Way-University). [Review 20899 overall - 75 in British Columbia - 1883 of 2023.]

Affordable, timely, spacious and clean. Damn efficient I may add. Let's just put it this way, if I were to drive from Coquitlam to Vancouver during rush hour, it would give me a numbing irritable experience as likely I would to have deal with impatient drivers, stuck in grid lock and deal with bumper to bumper traffic. Hop on the skytrain then take the connecting bus, no headache and no stress. And it is even FASTER and CHEAPER!!! So what is there not to like. Sure, the impatient teenager me once thought riding transit was terrible, cuz I haven't yet been stuck on Highway One due to some jackass thought he was clever and can be quick weaving in and out finally causing a multiple pile-up blocking all lanes. I'll take the skytrain over driving any day especially during rush hour.

Finally, a decent way to get from downtown Vancouver. Sure we're all paying through the nose for…read morethis line, but I'm sure most people would agree that this line is WAY overdue. With that said, I still can't believe they had to tear up those brand new bus lanes running (they were there for less than 2 years) down No.3 Road. The stations are nice and clean, though their size leaves much to be desired. There is barely enough room to stand around on the platforms. The trains are wider than those of the Expo line, but they're also much shorter (2 cars instead of 4). Also you can tell they cheaped out when the stations on the Richmond side literally jut out onto the freaking street. Would it really have cost that much more to slide the entire station 3m to one side? One thing I always like to do is sit at the front of the trains and look out the front window. If you haven't done this before, it's actually pretty cool. The biggest complaint I have about the Canada Line is the fact that the trains only run every 10 minutes or so. Compare that to the Expo Line (1 every 2 minutes) during rush hour. Having the signs that show the ETA of the next train is nice, but it really sucks when you look up and see that you still have to wait 7 minutes. And this is assuming you're not going to Richmond, because now there's a chance you're going to wait (literally) twice as long. With that said, the YVR leg is awesome. Vancouver is now the only Canadian city to have a direct rapid transit link to the downtown core. I'm sure many of the cabbies out there aren't too happy about this. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

SkyTrain sounds like a designer drug you'd see in a dystopian Sci-fi movie, but the only high this Skytrain gave me was the feeling of ease, when going from the airport to my hotel in downtown Vancouver. I wish they made public transportation that was this smooth all over the US and not just major cities. This train runs all over Vancouver and its outliers cities and is the preferred mode of transportation by locals. The maps are easy to figure out and there's no need to purchase a day pass. If you're just doing one or two quick trips. You can just tap your credit card on the entry turnstile and kaboom... you're cruising on the SkyTrain. Ready to chase the dragon called life? Then prepare to get lifted on the SkyTrain.

Yelp Review 2023 #247:…read more I've used the SkyTrain in Vancouver to get to/from the airport using the Canada Line which takes about 30 minutes to the Waterfront Station when I'm staying at hotels nearby. From the airport, just follow the signs to SkyTrain. You'll have to go outside, cross the street, take 2-3 escalators to get to the station. There are kiosks you can use to purchase a pass/ ticket. You can pay with cash or card. And there's always a SkyTrain employee nearby should you need assistance. There's a train every 10 minutes. I've never had an issue using the SkyTrain. The times I've used it, the train was clean. There's free wifi onboard and space for luggage. There's a USB port under the window next to your seat so you can charge your phone. Be sure not to throw away your ticket as sometimes somebody checks for them. I've used the SkyTrain to get to Yaletown and Broadway and that's about it (outside of the airport and Waterfront).

It is named after the nearby shopping mall, Aberdeen Centre. The location of this station is convenient as it convenient to numerous Asian shopping malls in the area. In addition to the aforementioned Aberdeen Centre, it is within walking distance of Yaohan Centre, President Plaza and Parker Place. If you are looking for good Chinese food, you will find plenty of it in the vicinity of this station. On my last trip to Richmond, I ended up using this station the most. The hotel (Pacific Gateway) in Richmond I was staying at had an airport shuttle, but didn't have one for Richmond. So I ended up walking to and from here quite often when I wanted to head north to Vancouver. While I would have liked this station to have been closer, it was still within reasonable walking distance and it was only about a 20 minute walk. The waiting times at this station are a bit longer than at the previous station (Bridgeport) because the southbound Canada Line splits off with one part headed to this station, while the other one is YVR bound. Still the waiting time during the daytime is 6 minutes at the most which seems reasonable. If you need to get to and from Richmond's Golden Village from downtown Vancouver, I would recommend taking a SkyTrain to this station as it is convenient and has frequent train service.

Hello, This is Dunya…read moreIsmail, I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding a very concerning experience I had with one of your drivers yesterday. I believe the driver's name was Gurnaj Sidhu. I called for assistance to have my vehicle jump-started. This is a service I have used before, as I was in the process of selling my vehicle and do not know how to safely jump-start it myself. When the driver arrived, he connected the jumper cables incorrectly. As soon as he attempted to start the vehicle, my car began sparking and produced a significant amount of smoke. Both I and the potential buyer who was present immediately noticed what had happened. We approached the driver to check the connections and it became clear that the cables had been attached the wrong way. The buyer informed the driver that the cables had been connected incorrectly. The driver then called his father and stated that the cables were not working, which was inaccurate. Both the buyer and I witnessed the sparks and smoke coming from the vehicle as a result of the incorrect connection. The driver later brought another taxi driver to assist. They attempted to jump-start the vehicle again, but it did not work. At that point, we believed that the fuses or other electrical components had likely been damaged due to the initial mistake. When I expressed my concerns and told the driver that he should not have attempted the procedure if he was not familiar with how to do it properly, he became extremely aggressive. He began yelling at me, telling me to "shut up," and repeatedly moved very close to my face in an intimidating manner. I felt threatened and uncomfortable by his behavior. What is most disappointing is that at no point did the driver apologize for the damage or take responsibility for what occurred. Instead, he continued to raise his voice and argue with me. As a result of this incident, my vehicle is no longer functioning. I would like to speak with a manager as soon as possible regarding this matter. I have a witness who observed the entire incident, including the incorrect cable connection, the smoke coming from the vehicle, and the driver's behavior toward me. Additionally, the second driver who attended the scene also acknowledged that the situation was not handled appropriately. This entire situation has been extremely upsetting and unacceptable. Not only was my vehicle potentially damaged due to the driver's negligence, but I was also subjected to aggressive and threatening behavior when I attempted to address the issue. As a customer, I should never have to experience damage to my property, be yelled at, or feel intimidated by an employee who made a mistake. The lack of accountability, professionalism, and basic respect shown during this incident is deeply concerning. I am requesting that this matter be investigated immediately and that I be contacted by a manager to discuss a resolution. If this issue is not addressed appropriately and in a timely manner, I will have no choice but to pursue further action, including contacting the police regarding the threatening behavior and exploring other available avenues to recover the costs associated with the damage to my vehicle. Please contact me at your earliest convenience to discuss this matter and the next steps. Thank you for your attention to this serious issue. Sincerely, Dunya Ismail Phone: 236-866-9010 Email: kurddunya46@gmail.com
