I'm still confused on how to order my coffee in this county. I just like iced coffee but a barista the day before said it's called a flat white here. I knew the Eggs Benedict looked delicious in all the pictures I had seen but I was intrigued by the poached eggs, kumara, and avocado dish. The lady helped me pick that one since it's so unique and apparently a big seller. Again, my fault for thinking it was going to be an avocado toast with bits of potato. I don't know where I got that from, it doesn't even say toast on there. Anyways, I didn't care for it or the texture of the kumara. There was also only a small slice or two of avocado tucked in there. Not my fave, but if I had an extra day I would have given it a second try with the eggs Benedict or French toast.

The food overall is disappointing, I've tried the cinnamon bun, the brownie and had high hopes for the custard square (after being convinced at the til it was amazing) but with undercooked pastry, a stodgy filling and slathered with swirls of chilled (as in hard) buttercream it was not enjoyable. Even the complimentary brownie bite on my flat white had a burnt taste (do they use the end bits?). Not worth another visit unless they massively up their game.
