A very lively spot at 8:30am on a weekday. After visiting a few coffee shops on this trip to New Zealand, it's become clear that coffee is definitely a thing in this country and it's nice that I haven't seen a single one of those green siren places!
Fabulous display of pastries and breakfast foods, it was the "Bacon Pie" that caught my eye this morning. Practically a slice of cake except made with layers of cheese and egg and bacon (what we Americans would call 'ham') with pastry. Reheated under the broiler, it was excellent and I'm sorry that it did not photograph well.
With the breakfast, a flat white which is similar to a cappuccino but with less foam. Delicious rich coffee that was perfect.
I took an hour to sit and write a Yelp review on their free wifi and also wartch a pretty steady stream of people coming in for their fix as well as several meetups of folks also hanging out. Friendly fun morning vibe.
