I used to be able to make the drive but now I'm falling asleep on the road. I've been saving up for years now cause I was always told you need 20% down when you buy a place. I know absolutely nothing about buying a place by the way. I also spent a year trying to find a place on my own with no success. My coworker told me about Javier and that I didn't have to go with him but he could give me good info about the process of buying a place. So I reached out to him and made an appointment, he made me feel super comfortable about knowing nothing. He explained everything throughly and answered all my questions. I told him how much I had saved for the down and how much I was willing to spend for the monthly mortgage. We made a short list of criteria the property had to have and the cities I wanted to live in. I wasn't planning on starting the process that day but I felt comfortable and he's really good at building trust, so I filled out the loan application (with his help cause all that stuff is like another language for me). I asked how long he thought it would take for me to find a home, his answer was he was gonna go at the pace of how ready I was to move. I met up with him at his office and he drove me to all the different properties (which I very much appreciated cause I was always super sleepy after working night shifts). I never felt any pressure to buy any of the properties if I didn't like it. Even when I wasn't for sure about a place he would be like... let's just go check it out. When we finally found a place, his wife was amazing with helping me with all the financial paperwork stuff. Our first appointment was Feb 29 and the keys were in my hand April 12th. Super fast! On another note I wanted to redo the bathroom so he helped arrange for multiple contractors to come the day I got the keys and stayed with me until all of them left. Javier also checks up on me to make sure everything is still going great. He really is the best and goes above and beyond for his clients!

I was told I can put down 3.5% for the down payment. Then was told I needed 100k. Then was told to ask family for loans to get money for more down. I went to another real estate company and was told everything I went through here was unnecessary. My credit was ran and I was charged for nothing. I even wanted to make an offer on a home and was told that was a lot of paperwork involved to make an offer and I wasn't going to get the home, and for me to not even make an offer. I wanted to view homes and never got responses until a week after. Once I hired a new real estate company, Karina would constantly call me trying to regain my business. I told her I have found someone else that was assisting me better and she had an attitude and hung up. She always claims she is the best in the business but it doesn't seem like it! I would never recommend anyone to come here. She tries to take advantage of first time buyers and wants you to do everything within a minutes notice and at her convenience. If the homes you're looking for are not in la county, good luck getting a response in getting to go see them. She also has a family member take over the sale who has no knowledge on buying homes, and when confronted upon the issue she says it was her day off. She may be having people work for her that are not licensed real estate agents and it sadly shows upon the performance of her company. If she needs anything signed or reviewed you have to take the time out of your day to go to her office, she will not go to your home to better assist. She will do whatever is more convenient to her, and also whatever requires less work for her.

As she got to know us more and more, she tailored her searches and recommendations to what she felt we would truly want in a home. When we finally found a condo and started escrow, Jennifer gave us a calendar with dates she promised to hit. She told us if all stayed on schedule (which she promised it would), we'd have the keys by the end of the month.
