They were exactly the type of light fare we were looking for that night and what we expected at a wine bar. The restaurant was loaded with antique character and fit the image of what you would want a hidden gem winestub in an old city like Cochem to look and feel like. I've been to a lot of restaurants around Germany, but this has to be the best. The food was wonderful, along with nice, friendly service (they got the wine wrong, but they did put it right without an argument - which in Germany is verging on the miraculous) and between courses they kept giving us stuff we hadn't even ordered (you've got to love that). A seasonal menu with a balanced mix of innovation and classics, accompanied by a really good selection of wines to suit most pockets and the most indulgent dessert I've ever eaten, I have to recommend this to anyone who's had their fill of Thai and Schnitzel.
