I hired Rice Plumbing and Heating November 2011 to install a new water system in my country home…read more My well water was extremely rusty and Mr. Rice installed a new water system at the cost of $8,500. He guaranteed his work and if any problems were to arise he would address them promptly. My system started having major problems in October of this year. I made dozens of calls to his company and never received a response. The equipment that he installed had a one year warranty. That warranty has run out now because he did not not respond to my my calls. The water system pump is breaking down, and since Troy Rice was the installer, London Pump Supply whom supplied Mr. Rice with supplies, would not come to my home to repair it. That was supposed to be up to Troy Rice. I have a hobby farm with animals that cannot go without water for the time it would take for the pump supplier to repair it as I would have to disconnect it and take it to their location to be repaired. I am extremely disappointed with T Rice Heating and Plumbing, and as far as I'm concerned, I wasted $8,500. I had another company, WRC Purifying come out and install additional water cleansing equipment at the cost of $2,000. My water is fine now that they installed a peroxide tank. Rice Plumbing did not install the nproper equipment. It is , however, their responsibility to honour their promise to repair and/or replace equipment that they installed. He and his team member did a great job, especially repairing the walkway. While they were working, he noticed that I was ripping out carpet from my basement due to a flood and he offered to quote me on remediation. The quote he gave me outlined every step and was far more reasonable than the $25 to $30 thousand that I received from other companies. And then he pointed out that the gutters on my house don't need to be replaced, with new brackets, sealing and cleaning they would be good as new! He completed that for me yesterday. The basement project will be next month. Elmer not only did the jobs I hired him for, he also cleaned up EVERYTHING! The bags of discarded carpeting that I had put out, and, after I had landscapers in to clear all the nuisance trees and weeds from my yard, he cleared up all the debris left behind! A lot of people see a woman with white hair and a cane and get dollar signs in their eyes. Elmer does not! And he goes the extra mile for his clients. I can't recommend him enough!

When I saw that he had an office and a showroom, I went with them, but I was a bit afraid of some of the comments here. But when he worked on the upper floor and I gave him the basement, his work was more than wonderful. His work was a little slow, but he gave a wonderful result.
