I would leave Zero stars if possible. We found this man after seeing his popular tv show and thought he had the savvy and connections to get us the best value for our collections. After many meetings before we moved, we agreed to leave over $364k of items that he would both market locally and nationwide to ensure we would receive top dollar, we agreed to reserve prices for several items. Following the auction we called for 3+ weeks for a response to how the auction went, what didn't sell, what the total amount of final sale, and when could we expect a check. He finally answered his phone and said that he had one piece of art that he did not sell and that our final take was a little over $1200. $1200.... He charged us for misc clean out charges (read the fine lines in your agreement) and other misc changes. Mind you we left lifetime valuables including (3) Sterling Silver candelabras, Neil Armstrong signed tranquility base photo, Cartier, Lalique, Louis Vuitton luggage, Andrew Jackson signed document, valuable art pieces, antiques, rugs, furniture and more all professionally appraised. I did not trust Brian but my husband insisted that he was a good guy and would take care of our items and get the absolute best value possible. My frail husband never fully recovered from this loss. In my opinion this man cannot be trusted. Please run and don't look back!!! Brian, if you are reading this, in my opinion your extremely selfish actions caused the severe decline of my husbands health. You knew he was suffering from a debilitating illness which is why he was willing to sell his collections. Those proceeds would have given him a more peaceful remainder of his life. I had Brian from 2 much stuff for me do an auction for me during the corona virus pandemic. I was told it was going to be done while social distancing, that it would be orderly and controlled and that people would be told to stay in their cars until they were texted. What ensued was absolute bedlam, cars everywhere and Brian and his partners screaming and cursing down my street. I told Brian he was out of control and he yelled at me as well. My neighbors called the police and I was mortified. I don't know how Brian stays in business. When they were finished I was missing things because people were in my house unsupervised. My sons $900 Wi2 gone which I had to replace with my own money. Do NOT use. An update. I was just charged $180 for the optimum modem that Brian's partner took when they "cleaned" out my house. I was also surprised to see the staff working the sale smoking in the house, this is not ok for me as a buyer and certainly would not be ok if I was the seller. As others have said, there are rarely good prices to be had from a sale that 2muchstuff4me manages. I get it, their role is to generate the highest sales possible, but if buyers make a offer that is too low just say no and move on, no need to insult us. We attended a sale in Armonk. I think the guy running it was Brian. He was constantly smoking cigarettes and very rude. The prices were very high and he was very very rude and had tons of attitude from the moment we walked in the door. My 3 year old son wanted some toys and my wife wanted a bag and some plants. We later changed our minds about the bag and the guy flipped and threw us out of the sale. My son was hysterical and crying as he assumed he was getting these toys. We were still looking to make other purchases. An example. We were given a price of $35 for a hose reel that is $29.99 new at home depot. Suncast hose reel, I looked it up later at home when I had internet access. I am not going to get ripped off and this guy got so angry with the slightest amount of questioning or due diligence on my part. I WILL NEVER ATTEND another SALE FROM the company! i bought some delicate hollow fruit pieces from brian last february & i had them shipped at a pretty high price with required insurance, & i received them packed loosely in a thin box & all 3 of them were broken. i contacted him & spoke with him a few times & never received any refund of any kind. i bought two expensive lamps from him also, & messed up & took a long time having them shipped, but the other purchase took over a month to come, so i thought i had time. when i called (i had been in the middle of getting a lot of work done on my house) he said i owed $130.00 for storage at ups. i was new to this & misunderstood what he saying. & i haven't been able to reach him since. it says he passed away, but he's been in trouble with the law so i don't know. if anyone knows anything i'd love to hear it. don't buy from him. read more

Just left a sale with this company in Katonah, NY and traveled almost two hours to get there. We went for some furniture, clothing and handbags. We got there right when it opened and asked for the clothing. We were told that the owner of the property pulled it from the sale. I could understand that happening but "2muchstuff4me" put the address on "estatesales.net yesterday and should have removed the items from the listing. One man said that he email this company yesterday and was told that the sound system he came for was pulled from the sale when he got there. While walking around other customers started to say the same thing about other items. The prices are high for something's and fair for the more collectible items. In my opinion, they had people buy before the sale opened even though they advertise that they don't. I'm sure the owner of this company would disagree. read more

I just attended an estate sale in CT from this company and probably will never attend one ever again. First they price items really high which you only know when you are ready to check out as nothing is marked. So basically you are going to waste a lot of time digging for nothing (people were putting back items when they were given prices). Second if you try to bargain and negotiate you are almost guaranteed to be given an attitude by the owner like you are bothering him. Third the owner grant himself the right to smoke at his checkout table (indoor)! All I've read were bad reviews. This displeases me because I actually get Brian and his humor. He is not the mean, sadistic, bastard that everyone makes him out to be. Granted, he is somewhat rude, but I see that as part of his charm. He is trying to be funny, at least funny as he sees fit. He has always been genuinely nice to me my wife. On every occasion I have purchased items from him, he has given me decent prices whenever I tried to haggle. I think my only real complaint is that he thinks it is acceptable to smoke in people's homes, during the sale and subjecting his customers to the second hand smoke. That really did surprise me to be honest. As I no longer live on Long Island, attending his sales has been limited due to the drive from NJ. He doesn't deserve one star He did an estate sale for us in NY, Not only was his arrogance unbearable he left the house in a terrible condition, cloths were left all over the place, He left a couch that someone paid for stuck in the middle of the hallway, "unsold" I had too reimburse the person. Holes left in the wall. Many items of which could have been sold were left unsold. A Neighbor, video taped him going back the next day taking items for himself. The kicker is, when I complained........ He said he had no Idea who I was, despite a signed contract and 6 months later he still has not paid us for the estate sale. No stars from me. I attended his sale this weekend and concur with previous reviews. Only high end pieces were displayed and not all of them were priced. The lesser items stored in boxes were still in boxes and not priced. None of the clothing, books, Christmas decor, garage items were priced. He made up prices as they were brought to checkout. I conduct estate sales, price everything in the house and tell my clients they will be amazed at how much sells under $20.00. They receive a spreadsheet from me with every item sold accounted for. There was no written accounting for client as things sold at this sale. When questioned regarding pieces shown in his promotional online photos that he said would absolutely be there for sale, he started yelling. Before the sale opened he was yelling "friendly" profanity out the window. I did not see him performing his fiduciary responsibilities for his client and what I saw at this sale gives the estate sale profession a bad name. The smoking in the house and at checkout was disgusting. I cannot imagine him doing a good job at all if he truly does 200 sales a year as he professed many times while talking himself up before this sale to anyone who would listen. read more

I went to a tag sale recently for 2muchStuff4me and plan on never going to one again. The gentleman who was collecting money had a cigarette butt hanging out of his mouth while people were trying to pay and was rude to every single person I observed including myself. He was the only one giving prices for items so after waiting on line for 20 minutes you then find out how much items are being sold for. DO NOT USE BRIAN!!! when first meeting him, he said our things looked as though it would be worth a few thousand dollars. Not only did we NOT make ANY money, but had to pay Brian 350.00. we understood that Brian must make at least $750.00 for the day but we were under the impression (which he gave us )that we would not owe him anything and walk away with a few thousand dollars. I will say people showed up, but he mustve advertised for a garage sale because these people were nickel and dimers only. We have more work now than before the so called sale. He walked away $750.00 richer and we walked away 350.00 poorer with more to clean up then before. Also, when telling Brian we were moving to California he continued to say, we will hate it there. NICE!!!! I will give credit to his workers, they were wonderful, and very empathetic on how our "sale" went. I have been going to estate sales and tag sales for a number of years and also utilized the services of a company similar to this when selling a house in Florida. I have always had positive experiences with it. However, the one I went to today in Setauket, which was run by 2muchstuff4me, was truly pitiful! The man who was stationed at the front door looked more like a bouncer or bodyguard than someone who assists with managing the inflow of people. He told the women that they should be prepared to have their pocketbooks searched by him when they were ready to leave the house. He didn't search my bag (possibly because it was smaller in size) but had he asked, I would have refused. If he wants to pursue something like this, let him call the cops and they can decide if this is what needs to be done. The guy constantly raised his voice at people, barking orders and then laughing as if to soften the blow. Very weird. I guess this was his way of intimidating others. In addition to this guy, the "cashier" seemed to be the only one deciding the prices. Nothing was labeled with a price in the entire house with the exception of a $3,200 dining room set. When I inquired about two candlesticks, I was told by a woman that I would have to wait on a long checkout line just for a simple price check. Another shopper complained about this and said, "Does that mean that every time we find something of interest, we have to wait on this one long line just to find out the price?" With this, the woman took the candlesticks from me and proceeded to the man at the desk handling the money. She returned a few minutes later and said $15. I told her that I would be willing to buy them for $10 and she told me to "ask the guy at the desk and see what he says." I waited about 20 minutes on line and when I got to the front, I showed him the candlesticks. He told me that they were $15 and I told him I wanted to give him $10. He told me, "No. They won't be less than $15 - not today and not tomorrow." I guess there is no negotiating with this man (something unheard of at estate sales and tag sales). I put them down and walked out. What a waste of time this morning was. Well, for the $5.00 difference, he lost that sale as well as any other future sale from me. I will never attend a sale hosted by these people and hopefully others reading this will think twice before going to one of their sales. His prices were sky-high and he is unwilling to negotiate for even $5.00. Beware is all I can say. read more

Also, many people travelled a long distance for the sale, and most of the quality items pictured were removed before the sale actually started, leaving everyone feeling cheated and duped. When my mother died suddenly in September, my sister and I contacted Brian based on his website and supposed huge following. The house was filled with furniture, clothing, garden supplies, tools, china, jewelry and decades of stuff. We had already removed items of sentimental value, and wanted to sell anything that we could, before we put the house up for sale. He showed up early for our scheduled appointment and told me that this would be a modest estate sale. He was going to go through everything and set it all up, "just like a department store". I handed over the key. I'm not sure where he shops, but it looked more like a trashed bargain basement when I returned to check things out before the day of the sale. In addition, when I arrived at the house, which was vacant, I noted the bathroom door was shut. I thought this odd that he would close over that room as there were towels and things that might be sellable. When I opened the door, the toilet was running and the toilet handle was broken. When I confronted him on this, since he was the only one other than myself who had access to the house, he denied knowing anything about it. I did not go to the sale until near the end. I was appalled when I arrived at how the house looked. Things were all over the house, strewn about. There was spilled coffee on the carpet and bedding in a heap on the floor. Cigarette butts littered the pathway, garage and lawn. His helper was rummaging through my father's tools, smoking cigarettes in the garage. Brian and another helper were on the front steps and I watched him toss a butt over the railing. Food take-out garbage was left in the house and on the back patio. But the attitude of Brian was not to be believed - he was incredibly rude to the lingering customers and to me. When I questioned him on how he derived the money figure he owed me (his accounting of it was very unclear) he acted as though I were an idiot (I am not) and said that nobody in all of his years had ever questioned his accounting! What is worse, people from the neighborhood and relatives of mine told me over the course of the next few weeks how nasty and rude the people who ran the estate sale were. As it was a highly emotional time for me I did not address it then, but now that five months have passed since the sale I feel it my obligation to warn others about this highly unethical and unprofessional business. This was our first and LAST time using a tag sale company. There was very little set up, everything was just put around the house very haphazardly. Nothing was priced, if someone wanted to purchase something they had to ask Brian for a price. He sat in one room, very sullen and not very approachable, so many people left without buying anything. He started a physical fight with a co-worker first thing in the morning, which set the day off nicely! He left the house a mess,especially the bathroom, disgusting! He assured us everything would sell, but at the end of the day sold very little and we actually had to pay him. This probably sounds like sour grapes, but I assure you it is not. We signed a contract and knew what we were getting into. I guess we just expected a bit more professional conduct.
