So the owner of the store I normally shop at is a stylist & helps me . I am greeted as soon as I walk in as well . I tried this place to see what they have . It was kind of busy but I wasn't greeted . Nor asked if I needed help . Guessing they were just busy . The store was clean and well organized. I will try again when in the Needham area . I gave a low review because I wasn't greeted , helped and the vibe wasn't welcoming. read more

I have both sold and purchased items at 2nd Hand Rose in Needham and have been very happy with dealing with them. I first went there to buy something for my son's wedding and left with two beautiful dresses. Later, I took a lot of pieces for them to sell and I have been very pleased with all aspects of the process. Wow. I've heard disgruntled owners talking about customers behind their backs, but this one blew me away. I was excited to check out this store's stock this week (and forgive the dingy environment). And I was willing to forgive the way that I was treated during my previous visit (they aggressively asked me to give them a price for a Chanel costume necklace when I had already told them that I was just thinking about it. After offering an (intentionally low) price, they responded with an irritated "Oh, no way. You're not ready to buy it, then." .....Right. I wasn't. That's why I had said I was really only looking. Is that not OK to do?) I try really hard to give people the benefit of the doubt, and today I entered again, excited to see whether the necklace was still there. The same two women were present. I was stung when I heard a low but audible, sarcastic "Oh, THIS one" about me from the owner when I walked through the door. I felt humiliated and embarrassed as I approached the glass case. After a couple minutes of awkward tension while I browsed through a rack of clothing, trying to recover from such a blatantly unacceptable "greeting", I decided to call the older brunette and blonde women on their behavior. A moment of stunned silence -- and then they pretended confusion, asking "What?" So I repeated it: "I could have sworn I heard something strange when I walked through the door." ...The door that I then exited for good. You lost a sale and a customer, ladies. Folks, take your hard-earned money and go across the street to the much more inviting, attractive, and better priced Closet Exchange. Their stock is impeccable - barely used - and I have ALWAYS been welcomed with incredible warmth, even if I'm just browsing. read more

This is a great place for chic finds! I walked by here on Small Business Saturday during my morning errands and scoped out the sale rack on the sidewalk. (Brands: Equipment, Milly, Isabel de Pedro, Theory, David Meister, A New Day/Target.) When I went inside to try on my finds, the owner showed me Chanel, Manolo Blahniks, Stuart Weitzman, and BCBG heels I could try on the dresses with. I also saw Longchamp bags inside that were pristine, and a Versace statement bag. Oooookay I was not expecting all this treasure! It turns out this store is run by women who took over the old Second Time Around (RIP) local chain store that used to be here. But I feel they have made it a little more upscale than STA. They are really personable and willing to talk about trends and style. I thoroughly enjoyed this expedition and will definitely have to come back for that turquoise jacket I saw by the window display... read more

Suzan went out of her way to throw together an amazing ensemble. I was so pleased that I purchased a few other things as well. The prices are fair and they will even negotiate with you. (My husband who accompanied me was pleased). Purchased a vintage Chloe bag, Oscar De La Renta bolero jacket and shoes in addition to the dress. Awesome consignment store with high quality, affordable brand-name clothes. I've gotten half my wardrobe from here- mostly Vince, Theory, Gucci, Equipment and Rundholz. Employees are also super helpful and know what's in-house immediately. Highly recommended- much better than what was there before. read more

While this store has great clothing and bags, etc., their pricing is VERY HIGH for second hand clothing. I priced out two of their clothing pieces online, and the same pieces were a fraction of the price(69$ vs 15$) You have to really know your brands, and shop cautiously! This store opened in the late Summer of 2017 and I love going there! They have a nice selection of clothing, shoes/boots, jewelry and pocket books/hand bags/purses. They also have a Designer section at the back of the store. I nearly always come away with something that I like, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Parking is easy-street metered parking right outside, which is inexpensive. Highly recommend paying a visit and their merchandise is fairly priced. read more

She initially asked what styles and colors we liked and then proceeded to pick out (not only the specific items that we liked in her videos) but a large variety of items that she thought we would like!
