There are many great services offered at this location that help people that lost their job and need help paying rent and bills, job placement assistance, resume writing skills, basic computer training skills, marriage counseling, debt consolidation, and much more for little to no cost. This was the church we stayed at after moving to the Westminster area. We tried many churches for…read moremultiple services before staying here. Here's the first reason why: they taught the Bible. They didn't try to teach around it or fit it into a theme or add something to it. They taught God's Word in a way that was applicable, meaningful, and even sometimes uncomfortable but in a way that is healthy for us in challenging whether we are doing things the world's way or God's way. We also found them helpful, accommodating, and understanding, as we had (and have) small children (some of whom have food allergies). Here are other reasons we stayed: Everyone was so kind. It's not the biggest or fanciest church, but Christ is at the center of it and all the events there. Now, we've been there for nearly four years and are so excited to see it grow and for our kids and ourselves to learn to love the Lord learn through the special community and fellowship there. We even had our own kegerator with a keg we ordered on the cheap through their supplier. It really help us have a great party with no headaches. Very cheap prices to rent, as far as spaces like this go. Would gladly recommend to anyone looking for a cheap, easy space to use.

We brought our young kids here on Saturday and had a wonderful experience. We got there at 9 am…read more(right when they opened the doors) and while it was very windy on the walkway, it was a relief against the blazing sun. Many of the animals were active until around 10:30/11 when the temperature warmed up. Right out of the welcome center, we saw 2 of their jaguars (which we were told are usually pretty elusive), some foxes, bobcats, bears, and to our happy surprise, a cheetah. It came out of the shade in the back of its habitat and approached the fence close to the walkway because an employee was driving by. It sat there for awhile until the employee drove off, so we were able to get lots of pictures. My son LOVES cheetahs, so this was definitely a highlight for us. Of course, when we mentioned it to not 1, but 2 employees/volunteers, they both said that that sanctuary location doesn't have any cheetahs. I showed them the pictures and they stated that it was a leopard. While they certainly do have a leopard (which we also saw), this was indeed a cheetah. So, my 1 suggestion to the sanctuary is to educate the staff on the animals there. Aside from that, we also saw wolves, lions, tigers, and camels. Be prepared to walk the 3 miles round trip. Bring lots of water and snacks (they have bathrooms and shaded rest stops along the way). Bring binoculars (or rent theirs for $10 like we did)--the sanctuary is expansive, far beyond what's next to the walkway. And take your time! We told our littles that the animals were playing hide and seek. It is a worthwhile experience!

Four of us went to The Wild Animal Sanctuary recently, and it was such a cool experience. Getting…read morein was quick and there was plenty of parking, which already made the visit feel easy. Before heading out onto the walkway, there's a large tent with food and a space where you can watch a short video explaining the sanctuary's mission and the work they do. I appreciated having that background because it made the whole experience feel more meaningful once we were out there. It was also nice that you can grab food and bring it out with you. Obviously you cannot feed the animals, but you can enjoy your own food and bring a water bottle while you walk. I grabbed a slice of pizza on the way out and appreciated that flexibility. The volunteers were genuinely kind and clearly passionate about being there. The facility itself is huge, you walk along a long elevated walkway that stretches over the habitats, which gives you a really unique vantage point. We had beautiful weather and great visibility, so we were lucky to see a lot. Some animals were lounging, some sleeping, and others were playing around. I liked how each enclosure felt thoughtfully set up and spacious, you could tell they are trying to give the animals an environment that suits them. If you are an animal lover, it is absolutely worth checking out. I do think it can feel a little expensive without a membership, but when you see the scale of the property and understand the work they are doing, it makes more sense. Overall, it was a really special way to spend the day.

CBA is a nonprofit organization that supports people of differing cultural backgrounds in many…read moredifferent areas. Anthony Johnson is the President of this organization and I personally can attest to the integrity of this man. I recently went through and am still going through the worst hardship of my life. There were days I did not believe I was going to make it. It was by the grace of God and wonderful people like Anthony that I have survived to this point. I valued education, hard work and reliance on myself to succeed in life. Basically, when I look back, in many ways I was spoiled and took a lot for granted. Then the day came when all of that changed and I was devastated. I had my own small company for 8 years working as an independent contractor for a nationwide company based out of Tennessee. They decided to pull out of Colorado which left me without a job. I am 72, worked in hospitals and medical centers most of my life but needed a change and loved having my own business. Long story short when they pulled out I went through a series of negative situations trying to get back on my feet but it finally took its toll on my health. I was not accustomed to ask for help especially from a stranger. I would break down and cry. To survive I had to force myself and get over it. I went to this company Fish in Broomfield where I met Anthony. I was running low on gas for my car and this wonderful human being told me he would take care of it for me. I was stunned. I followed him to the gas station and he filled my tank and paid for it. I had the philosophy that I would always help others but I did not need help. It was and still is very difficult to ask for help but Anthony showed me so much kindness, love and understanding which has helped me get to where I am today. I will always be eternally grateful for meeting this man who helped to get me through the worst time of my life. If you have fallen on hard times like many of us, talk to Anthony, I am sure he will assist you any way he can.
