When we were there at 9am when they first opened we were able to watch the staff wrapping all the individual queijadas. There was also a big bus of tourists that was dropped off right at 9am and they flooded in the small place to all buy pastries, so keep that in mind when planning your stop here - not sure if this is something that happens every morning.
