When I pulled in to the station I noticed smoke coming from my RV!! It was on fire!!! Me and the Jewett fire department was able to get it put out but I was not able to stay in it and had to rent a room. I was in town for a benefit and my time was limited. Larry took care of me like no one else would. He let me park my trailer at the campground at no charge but that's not all. I was busy with the benefit all weekend while knowing that Sunday I was going to have to deal with fixing my RV enough that I could pull it home. I arrived back at the campground early Sunday morning to find my RV completely sealed up and ready to go. It was as if an angel had come and saved the day! Larry did this for me because, as he said "I just like to help people when I can and I knew you needed help". This sort of kindness is rare these days and I could not be more grateful. If you ever have a chance to stay at Kozy Lakes please do! You won't find a better place to stay.

Man, was I happy to find Palestine RV Park! It's a fairly small park tucked away in the trees, with many long-term residents. However, they also cater to short term stays. I had my trailer there for four days. The sites are huge, with 30 and 50 amp electrical, water, and sewer. Roads in and around the park are asphalt paved, but the sites are unpaved, and it's fine sand that gets in EVERYTHING, so be sure to bring some doormats or something. The park is quiet (park rules say that quiet hours are from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave, lol) and pitch dark at night, but there are pole lamps at the sites that you can plug in and use if you need additional lighting. Angela, the owner, met me at the gate in her UTV and led me directly to my site, where she did the paperwork and payment, then offered to help me set up my trailer! There's a nice laundry and shower building near the entrance. The park has controlled access with keypads and a gate controller, and you can come and go as you please. Everyone I encountered there was friendly and helpful. I'll definitely stay there again! p.s. Be sure to look for Bigfoot when you're there! ;-)

There is also a fire pit outdoors and a small BBQ pit. Guests should be prepared to bring their own bedding, dishes, pots, pans, coffee mugs, and other essentials. The view from the cabin is wonderful, and it is hard to find anyone unfriendly at this Ranch. We attended a fun paint and wine event, which was a lot of fun. Mark was the artist he is very talented and a lot of fun! The sunset at the lake is beautiful. The stars in the night sky are bright and beautiful. There are also plenty of RV spots and tents sites available. I can't wait to go back.

I helped sponsor & also competed in a grappling event we put on with the promoter. It took a little longer than anticipated to get everyone there for the pre-match weigh ins. The staff at the venue were very accommodating and stayed a longer than anticipated to make sure everything went smoothly. Staff were very friendly. Facilities were clean and spacious. Restrooms were clean and spacious enough for our athletes to change in. There's an abundance of parking spaces available. This will be our first spot to consider for future events. The only less than perfect for me, the set up in the showers were a little awkward as there was very little room or places to keep clothes dry while showering and then changing, I am personally not a fan of public changing rooms. All of the staff we encountered were very nice and appropriately chatty, friendly and welcoming people. Definitely recommend this place.
