And, the cafeteria is open at least 3 hours for each meal (I just checked their website). Funny she also mentions the elevators. LOL! Those are some good stories :-) It sure was excellent to have weekly (or was it every other week?) maid service. The private bathrooms made the decision easy for me, did't have to share the shower with the entire floor!

I used to work for a larger student housing company on campus, and the level of care, respect, and attentiveness given to tenants at Electrum is night and day compared to the other options on/around campus. The very few issues I did encounter over the two years I lived in my unit were always instantly addressed. I typically heard back from any emails I'd send in a matter of hours, and would come home from work the next day to find the problem completely resolved. They were very careful and accommodating to me as a pet owner as well, making sure my cat did not escape outside whenever work was done. You receive very clear and concise policies in the lease, and the move-out guide was equally as easy to follow. Unlike larger companies, I was not nickel and dimed on the security deposit and actually received all of it back. I highly recommend leasing with Electrum Group! Fairly priced rent, easy renewal process, good maintenance, and excellent communication.

But what Yelp wants, Yelp will get. I will post a review of the place. Uni dorms there are hell holes. Like prison cells, inhabited by creatures less civilized than zoo animals. Hendrick House is a respite from that. Comfortable rooms, carpeted floors, semi-private shared bath rooms, higher class inhabitants and the best food on campus. How do I know? I actually lived there as a freshman 58 years ago. I knew the Hendricks. The place may have changed, so take that into consideration.

Got an email for collections literally months after I moved out. I literally don't even go to…read moreschool in Champaign anymore for charges that are untrue. Legit, they just want to steal our money. Also know that there are a few people living there for free and that an employee was seen on camera to look through a student's backpack and after realizing there was no money in it, returned it to the student like they didn't look through it. Entire company is shady. I'm upset. Why am I getting a letter for collections months later after someone new moved in as well. Very unprofessional, very rude to international students especially. They don't respond to your emails and everything they promise is fake. Literally, hated living here. Had the worst time ever. Trash chute is literally miles away.
