I also have long family ties to the area.. I was having a rough week. Needed some extra money until Friday, this was on a Wednesday. I walked in with over $200 in Games, near perfect condition, looking to pawn them for 20 or 30 bucks and get them back Friday. You know, like people have done at pawn shops since there's been pawn shops. Not only did the place smell like booze as soon as I walked in, but the "Staff" were so rude i was literally shocked. One of the women saw a small, black smudge from a magic maker on one of the cases and said, "We cant buy this. YOU, have roaches." And tried to make me leave the store. I was obviously taken aback and defended myself with as much restraint as possible. Her manager apologized and asked what id take for the games. I proceeded to explain my situation and told her what I needed. She literally laughed in my face and offered a dollar for each game.. It wasn't ten minutes later, I see this Manager just around the corner at old Country Express buying, you guessed it, liquor. This was at two in the afternoon. Not only will I Never bring Any of my business there. I highly recommend anyone and everyone to stay clear of these rude, drunk, ripoff artists. If they'll try and take advantage of a handicapped person, they'll take advantage of anyone. Wish I could give a negative star review. If anyone deserves it, its you. Hope to see you bankrupt and out of business soon.

I took it back to them twice and they promised to fix the issue. They never even looked at it. I could tell I checked it out and had a gunsmith fix it after picking it up the second time. He not only fixed it but told me no one had taken the gun apart recently before he did when he fixed the issue. The lying, scum worker at the counter gave me a BIG smile both times he handed the gun back to me. He stated he'd worked on the gun and it cycled for him fine with no issues when he shot it. This was the old store at Campbell and Sunshine where this transpired. Loftis is always has been and always will be one of the most crooked pawnshops in Springfield. Even for a pawnshop they're at the absolute bottom of the barrel. I'd not do business with them for any reason. A person would be better off attempting to do business with a loan shark than with Loftis Pawn. Do yourself a favor: STAY AWAY!!!
