I'm from LA, so I thought I'd give it a shot-- it turns out, the owner, Paul, is from LA (well, the OC)! Indeed, it is no coincidence that the shop is called LA nails! I've come here just once, but I am so happy; I've found my new nail shop :) I would recommend calling to make an appointment bc it's always better to let them know ahead of time (sometimes they close early and to minimalize any potential wait). The inside of the shop is minimalistic but cute decor, and the shop itself is clean (100 health department rating)! It's definitely not the best skill and technique I've experienced, but I left the shop so happy and feeling like I got my nails done affordably, had awesome conversations, and was in and out quickly! Awesome, awesome service! THAT is what I'm talking about when I treat myself! Go get yo' nail on, girlfriends!! :)

I gave this salon a shot off a whim I was told that they had a great special going on so who am I…read moreto turn down a good deal. Sometimes u just have to stick with your gut! Now I've been to nail salon that are packed that's a good guarantee that they provide great service and are highly liked but I walk in and there's only one other person in shop. I should've turned around and walked away then! But I'm the type of person to give someone a shot. I have never in my history of getting my nails done stopped a pedicure at any point but today I had to! The pedicure started and there was no long soak of the feet the water was like warm and I don't mind hot water at all but I was like it fine. The nail specialist immediately gets the drill out keep in mind my nature nails were clean and bare then used the drill to the point my nails are burning because she's drilling too much then she gets out the cuticle cutters and cuts extremely too much of my skin off to the point I'm snatching my toes back letting her know hey that hurts she ignores me and keeps goin now she asked if I wanted a drink I asked for a simple can or sprite never received it after drilling my nails as cutting almost all of my cuticle off she applies acrylic on one of my big toe immediately after and I wanted to jump out of my chair as soon as the bead touched my skin it burned I asked her is it supposed to burn it's burning and uncomfortable at this point my cuticles are bleeding and I'm telling her hey it's burning I keep repeating it she keeps moving forward to butcher my cuticles on the other foot once again causing me to bleed I'm sorry but I had to tell her please take it off and she proceeded to say I was being sensitive and she doesn't know what happened like she didn't see blood she put some green solution on it that burned worse than the alcohol and remover combined and told me to stick my foot back in the water I could write a book about my experience but just know even thorough all that I still tipped her because I don't like the idea of not tipping because this economy is hard I will not be a returning customer

I had to fix some pieces at home but it was no big deal for me. I think next time I'll opt for a hair wash.

Incredibly disappointed in the service I received here. I was here 5 days prior and spent $75 to…read moreget my nails done, gel x, and not one of them has lasted. I am not rough with my hands, and typically gel x lasts months on end. I went in today to ask for a refund, I did not want them touching my nails again, and they argued with me and said that it was policy they couldn't do refunds. There is not a sign or disclaimer anywhere in the store that says that. They only offered a half refund or to come back later so they could do my nails again. Why in the world would I want to repeat my experience here after seeing the quality of their work? It was shoddy and rushed and my nail beds are also destroyed. I spent hours the first time out of my day and paid for a service to be done right, and they didn't deliver. They even accused me of going home and taking my own nails off. I spent SEVENTY FIVE DOLLARS, WHAT ON EARTH WOULD COMPEL ME TO GO HOME AND RIP THEM OFF? And then they told me my nails were too short for them to hold anyways. I ASKED the first time I was there if I could do shorter nails so that they would hold, and they told me they would. So I was lied to, given poor service, and then denied my own money back, and didn't even receive an apology. This is disappointing. I was excited to go here and get my nails done, and spent a LOT of money to be treated unfairly. I eventually just opted for the half refund. I will NEVER go here again and I will tell every single woman I know to steer clear of this place and just go to Royal Nails or Fancy Nails instead.
