After he finished my gel French tip he asked if I liked it, the white was too thick on 2 toes but he said that he couldn't take fix it unless he took everything off, I let that go. I called in and made an appointment FYI, for gel pedicure & dip medi, the lady took the appointment. When he finished my toes he didn't even know that I was supposed to get a pedicure. I kept in mind that it was close to closing for them, but I got there at 4:30. During my pedicure he proceeds to saw off all the skin surrounding my nails and when I said the color I picked(which looked like a clear nude color) looked a more orange then nude, he said when I finish and put the clear coat on it won't look like that. Long story short, it still looks orange/peach, the color has grown on me. But very next day(today) 1 nail chips, then I do a little cleaning and 3 more nails chip. He only did 2 coats of the dip and then filed off more. Im new to Prattville a door thought this would be the place to get my nails done, I like that they do actual nail art, but clearly the man there DOES NOT. I've had dip powder nails before, filed very thin, I am a k9 handler for the prisons, only ONCE have I had ONE nail chip during work with dogs and/or searching inside the prison, which requires a lot of vigorous hand activity. Idk if the lady working there is good, but the guy could use some more training.

I looked high & low for the owner...then I ran into the right person that was able to tell me the my ALL time favorite waxer, Paige, was now at Wow!!! I called & quickly made an appointment. Upon arrival, I noticed that Wow was an older home that had been turned into a day spa & salon. Very nicely decorated with such a quaint feel in the lobby. The wax and massage rooms are comfortable and peaceful. Paige is perfect with Brazilian waxes and there is little to no pain! Her prices remain the same as before about $50 for a Brazilian wax which is a STEAL! I have not tried any other services there, but will return again & again for Paige! Yay for Wow!!!

I did some stuff at home but I was a HOT MESS! Finally I broke down and because I trust both the Ulta and Benefit names so I tried it out. The service started promptly and although I was in the middle of the store versus a private room it still felt personal. He started with the traditional safety questions and then explained to me what he was going to do as far as brow/face mapping. When he was done I was AMAZED by how great they looked. Everyone knows great eyebrows can really impact your whole look! To top my own views, I travelled for work this week back to my native California and was stopped and complimented just on how spectacular my brows looked! People even asked my if they were fake or if I had used Wonder Brow. I simply responded nope, I grew them myself and I have a master brow technician!! The prices were on par for my expectations, the whole team was awesome, and Blake is a genius! I also forgot to mention, Monroe, ( I believe that was her name) she seems to be a team with Blake and helped me pick out a new foundation and was so friendly, funny, and wonderful! Now I've been to nail salon that are packed that's a good guarantee that they provide great service and are highly liked but I walk in and there's only one other person in shop. I should've turned around and walked away then! But I'm the type of person to give someone a shot. I have never in my history of getting my nails done stopped a pedicure at any point but today I had to! The pedicure started and there was no long soak of the feet the water was like warm and I don't mind hot water at all but I was like it fine. The nail specialist immediately gets the drill out keep in mind my nature nails were clean and bare then used the drill to the point my nails are burning because she's drilling too much then she gets out the cuticle cutters and cuts extremely too much of my skin off to the point I'm snatching my toes back letting her know hey that hurts she ignores me and keeps goin now she asked if I wanted a drink I asked for a simple can or sprite never received it after drilling my nails as cutting almost all of my cuticle off she applies acrylic on one of my big toe immediately after and I wanted to jump out of my chair as soon as the bead touched my skin it burned I asked her is it supposed to burn it's burning and uncomfortable at this point my cuticles are bleeding and I'm telling her hey it's burning I keep repeating it she keeps moving forward to butcher my cuticles on the other foot once again causing me to bleed I'm sorry but I had to tell her please take it off and she proceeded to say I was being sensitive and she doesn't know what happened like she didn't see blood she put some green solution on it that burned worse than the alcohol and remover combined and told me to stick my foot back in the water I could write a book about my experience but just know even thorough all that I still tipped her because I don't like the idea of not tipping because this economy is hard I will not be a returning customer
