They were hired…read moreto help correct a boundary issue after my general contractor, Mark Nottage, built part of my cabin on the wrong lot in Sevierville, TN. Midway through the process, Trueline completely stopped communicating with me -- the property owner -- after Mark told them not to. Rather than act as an independent, impartial surveyor, Mike chose to follow the contractor's instructions and shut me out entirely. I ended up having to do much of Mike's job myself just to keep the correction moving -- coordinating with the title company, neighboring property owners, and county officials on my own while Trueline stayed silent. Even worse, Mike showed zero concern for the serious legal and financial exposure his client's mistake created for me. He ignored the ethical obligation to act transparently and objectively, and his silence dragged the process out for months. If you want a surveyor who communicates, takes ownership, and protects the property owner's interests, do not hire Trueline Surveying. Their conduct was unprofessional, unethical, and completely unacceptable.
