Across two floors and over 1,000 square feet of space they have the most amazing antiques and treasures. Sherman's Antiques has been in business for over 25 years selling their own items and leasing space to other vendors. They also do estate sales and offer a doll hospital, restoring treasured dolls from the past. I couldn't believe they actually have a basement which is something you hardly ever see in Florida where the water table is so close to the surface. I had so much fun exploring their furniture, housewares, glassware, clothes, art, jewelry, holiday decorations, collectibles, and so much more. I especially loved the vintage casserole dishes. Prices ranged from a few dollars to the many thousands. How negotiable they are depends on it it belongs to them or a vendor. On the way out I spoke to the friendly owners about their marvelous collection. It is a curated history of the 20th century. If you love antiques the way I do, add this to your Winter Haven shopping list.

Let me be the first to warn you not to enter this place unless you have time for a proper GANDER, ok? Ok. The store is filled to the brim with goodies and most things are very reasonably priced in my opinion. Lots of small knick knacks but larger items and furniture as well. The section near the front door has some interesting finds, though pricing can be a bit high relative to condition. Even so, I did manage to pick up a few items I had been looking for at reasonable prices. The deeper section inside the store is where I had the best luck, with a much better mix of selection and value. There is a lot to go through, and I ended up making a second trip back just to finish digging through everything I wanted to explore. I came away with several great vinyl finds on both visits. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and very personable, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Free parking right by the front entrance is another added benefit, especially since street parking in the area is metered during weekday business hours. I also noticed they have a large selection of comic books, which may be of interest if you enjoy collecting those as well. If you enjoy digging for records and don't mind spending time searching, Lloyds of Lakeland is definitely worth a stop.

It is much smaller than its larger competitors, but I actually think that works to its advantage. Many of the larger thrift stores have become so commercialized, selling many items in bulk/wholesale... like a dollar store, so unique pieces are hard to fine. Javellas carries many unique, well kept pieces. We were fortunate to find two brand new canvas paintings at exceptionally good prices. We will be back sporadically to find more pieces.

Later in the day I wasn't too far away in Winter Haven so I stopped in. She wasn't exaggerating about the grand scale of this antique store. Susan and Diego Barreiro opened their business in 2000. They started working out of their den on Havendale Boulevard in Winter Haven but they outgrew the space so in 2014 they moved to this location. In 2022 they won Best of Haven, Best Antique Store. Treasure House Antiques and Collectibles is located in a former funeral home. There is 10, 000 square feet of inventory and 42 vendors. After receiving a greeting I was free to explore room after room filled with treasures, clothing, furniture and home goods. Some of my favorite discoveries were the vintage holiday decorations, mid century Christmas tree, vintage Pyrex, and vintage stove. Prices seemed very reasonable. Clothes started at $5, antiques and collectibles started at $5, and furniture started at $10. If you love vintage and antiques as much as I do, this is definitely a stop you want to make in Winter Haven.

Upon entering Southern Gentleman Antiques it became clear the owner definitely appreciates all that visit - after a gracious greeting and invitation to explore every area of the shop he also offered refreshments and made us aware of the public restroom which is rare these days and although I passed on the refreshments I did visit the extremely clean and well maintained restroom I can't say enough about the customer service here. we were encouraged to ask any questions on the merchandise and we were left to explore this beautiful shop at our leisure. I did a couple sound test with one of my new gear was looking for something in particular for my short form film projects. After playing around i found something i recognized from one of my many previous jobs! A train cabin key! Bro these are pricey in online antique forms. I got it for $3.25. I already came up with ways to use it. Both film and i been researching clockwork builds. I love that art form so much. Its heavy on the math and physics. Cant wait to start! I saw something new they had on display. They had a couple of black lights show casing "Sugar glass" the antique glass reacts to the black lights and shine very brightly. If u like unique collections n decor? This would be a great way to collect old glass ware and just display for parties. Or for streamers with cyber punk notes. Kid you not the glass almost looks like a digital vector. Although i played with alot if things? I was happy with the key. I saw something that we both wanted but we dont have room for it. On our way out of the other store someone else bought it. It is the name of the game. The gentleman looked very happy. It was a one of those old school record players built into a table. The people working don't even bother to speak or even look up. I was the only customer in the store. The person working walked past me several times without even a glance. Considering that I never see anyone in the store (and for good reason.)You'd think they would at least try to interact with the few customers that they have. Luckily the shop has nothing that I would have so I don't feel the need to go back.
