I called Gelous Nails to get an appointment, and due to them being SO busy, I was able to get in two weeks from when I called. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. The nail techs really take their time with your nails and do a beautiful job - they also have an instagram page - it looks like a lot of women come in with pics from pinterest and get them done up here :) The only downfall is that they are SO busy all the time, it's hard to get an appointment. My youngest got a manicure with nail polish. My second grand daughter got tips put on. My daughter and I ask for gel over lay on our natural nails. It was a complete rush job. My grand daughter was cut and bled. When I was choosing the nail polish there is no marking of what polish is what. I was looking for a Christmas green. I picked my colour. Not aware of what I was getting and pricing. While already doing the procedure she then informed me of the price $70 for this gel overlay. I went in with long nails at least longer than what I came out with. So I was upset how short they are. I had spoken to this lady while doing my procedure telling her I was nervous and she ignored me. I finally got her attention saying excuse me. But let me tell you she did not miss out on a conversation that the other ladies were having. I didn't even know they were talking to her and all of a sudden she would blurt out something. Of course I couldn't understand what was being said. Regardless of that, the whole procedure was rushed and caused me to be uncomfortable as I'm not one to get my finger nails done. In the end we paid 269.00 for the four of us ....38.00 for manicure, $55 tips and $70 for my gel overlay, and $ 55 for my daughter gel overlay. My issue isn't with the work they did but just how sneaky they are and lack of transparency. They don't give you a receipt. They don't discuss charges right up front and they do something they are not asked for. I was given two rings to choose colour off of. Only one had one Christmas green. I said I liked this one and want something like it. She never explain it was chrome based nail polish or offered me any other choices. I was unaware my daughter had already paid. She was standing in the mall looking at their pricing and one of the ladies rushed out to explain what her charges were. I noticed my nail polish selection was based on the amount available in the bottles versus my initial color preferences. Next to the till, there were plenty of brand new nail polish bottles to buy. However, I don't usually buy nail polish bottles at the salon. The lady who did my pedicure was nice. The pedicure tools looked like they were sanitized and clean. The manicure and pedicure set up looked pretty average. However, my main concern and turnoff here was an obvious breach in cleanliness that I witnessed. The lady who did my pedicure put on latex gloves prior to handling my feet. While my toenails were drying she was helping another customer pay at the till. I was grossed out by the fact she was still using the gloves she wore helping me! She handled the debit/credit machine while wearing the gloves. I know those machines aren't clean as a baseline but still! I think some people feel a false sense of cleanliness when they wear gloves. What other breaches in sanitation are happening here? You need to wash your hands with soap and water before and after using gloves! Hand hygiene is especially important in a place where you're handling a large number of hands and feet. People don't want to get infections! We need reassurance that we're in a clean environment. I won't be back here and I don't recommend it.

I went here to have my Shellac removed off my toes and get a pedicure. The girl did my toes was…read morenice enough..but when she was using the drill to remove the shellac it was very painful. She kept getting the skin around my toes rather then just the nail itself. I kept flinching in pain and saying that it was painful, "could she be careful not to get the drill on my skin"..etc..but ya she kept on doing it. Wasn't fun..lemme tell ya.. That all being said..the pedicure was good. My toes look very cute, and I like the outcome..just not crazy about what happened before the cute feet!
