I am no stranger to flea markets, but what I loved about this one was the friendliness of the vendors. All were welcoming and willing to strike up conversation, especially about music. Woodstock is a diverse and eclectic town but it's also famous for its Mower's Flea Market every Saturday and Sunday in a big grassy area. Hubs and I have always made it a point every time we come to Woodstock in the last 20 years, to stop here first (out of nostalgia) before making the drive down home. Quite honestly, we've scored several hand-made pieces and a vintage Dashiki hubs had found for me. Mower's is made up of several vendors all selling something different. Over the years though, the amount of vendors have dropped. And forget about COVID last year- because it didn't take place and was weird looking at vendor-less lot when we came to the area for a day trip in the Fall of '20. But alas, Mower's is back in business and we were delighted to see more vendors (almost) recently like we used to 20 years ago. You'll find antiques, memorabilia, some kitsch- the same way you'll find locally made products. The way I see it, it's a shopping haven for me.
