Love this place! As other people have said, it's not the most organized all the time but that's part of the charm of a place like this. It's very cozy and the employees seem to know where everything is. My only wish is that there was a more clearly defined section for rare and first edition books. Stopped by today when they had a children's book sale outside... there was still a lot outside when we stopped by but def many people had beaten us there. My kids and I also quickly perused the kids section inside snd walked around the store. I was pleasantly surprised and loved the atmosphere! We purchased a few books - which I found it to be great pricing (cheaper than what I normally pay at other thrift stores for children's books). I'll definitely be back and plan to bring books in for trade in! Would definitely recommend to others. read more

I went in one time, could not recall the name or author, but told her the gist of the story, She not only knew the book name and author, she directed me straight to the book! I stopped in here a few weeks back when Marysville was having their vintage Market. It can be overwhelming when you walk in. There are so many books but I am here for it. There is nothing better than sitting down to read a book. I can imagine that this place has any and everything you are looking for and things that you didn't even know you needed or wanted. I didn't venture upstairs to check out the selection up there but it looked just as overwhelming as the bottom floor. The service was friendly. I will come back when I have some more time to really explore and spend more time. read more

Love this place!!! If you don't mind creative organization this bookstore is for you!! An impressive amount of used books and a few new. I can always find something or Darilee (bookstorelady) usually has great recommendations. She recommended me a book called The Immortals which was really really good. I will relate my issues in the following paragraphs as objectively as possible, by simply listing events. In 2012, I culled my book collection. I brought many books into this bookstore, and received store credit instead of cash. I took two paperbacks from the store at this time and received 22 books in store credit. I paid no cash that day for the books I selected. In 2014 I returned to spend most of my store credit. I selected 14 paperback books. 6 of those books were deemed not eligible for store credit as they were "cash only". The rest of my store credit was now worth a 50% discount on the remaining books I selected. I left the store without any books. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Simply put, donate your books to Goodwill or a local thrift store. If you need to buy books, use Amazon. I believe in supporting local business, but not local businesses like this one. read more

Be prepared for a mess when you walk in. But it's an organized mess. This lady knows where everything is.. Place has two floors and a massive selection. Great prices and nice & quiet.
