Found this cool little bookstore with a very nice selection on old and new books. I'm a fantasy book reader and the selection was great. I found a bunch of old Forgotten Realms books I needed along with a bunch of yellow spine Daw books. Prices were really good with all older books at half cover and anything that fell below $2 was $2. Picked up a stack of 15 at $2 a piece Had the old bookstore vibe that I just love. Could have spent 3-4 hours there but the rest of my group was ready after 30 minutes

It was really cool place. There were a variety of Price points, other media and cute items. There are a variety of new and used books available. They've taken the time to create clear sections with a nice variety. There are even some chairs to kick back in. Just make sure the kitty isn't there first! My husband and I looked around and end up buying five or six books all used in fabulous condition. Inside, there are some seats so you can kinda take a moment to review your book. The service was nicely balanced. We were warmly greeted and because we were in there for a while, asked if there's anything we needed help with for questions on, but mostly left alone to browse. Did I mention kitty cat there? Very chill and gorgeous and friendly. I am very glad we stopped by

EBB is have to visit if you are Seattle. Skip the bubblegum wall and the original Starbucks. If you truly want to see Seattle, visit Elliott Bay Book and you will thank me later. I wish I had more time to visit every section and shelf. I wandered aimelessly at first then found myself in Queer True Crime. I ended up having a fantastic conversation with a lovely human at the information desk. I don't remember their name but they even spoke with my daughter on my iPhone as I was looking for a particular book for my wife. I was also on the hunt for Etna, a novel but it was sold out. I ended up purchasing per a staff recommendation, 'Attempt at Exhausting a Place in Paris' by Georges Perec Reading the first couple of pages instantly transported back to Paris, a place I know extemely well, and I saw every bus, man, woman, child, server worker, and heard every klaxon and shouted obscenity. Do yourself a favor and search out Elliot Bay Book when you visit Seattle, you'll be supporting a local business and feeding your mind and soul.

Street parking will be your best here and there is a good amount of it around the area. Inside, they have a very spacious setup with books organized nicely by genre. If you are ever looking for a book in the Seattle area, this spot should be first on your list!

A sweet, attractive independent bookstore on a beautiful island, where you might meet a handsome stranger, a dastardly murderer, or even a handsome stranger who turns out to be a dastardly murderer. I spent a few hours on Bainbridge Island during a family trip to Seattle, and we enjoyed a leisurely browse at this bookstore. It was well stocked with books of every genre, as well as a strong selection of gifts and toys. My Seattle friend told me Eagle Harbor had carried my book, at least when it first came out, so I forgave them for no longer having it on the shelves six years later. I was very happy to see my friends Kara Loo and Jennifer Young's novel in the romance section. It's their first book, and I think it's a good sign that the store stocks new releases by debut writers. I really just love a good bookstore, and being in Eagle Harbor Book Company made me happy, even as my children demanded I buy them every colorful thing that entered their field of vision. I'd be a regular if I lived on the island. I could rent a space next door and start solving crimes.
