If I had not been in shock, I would have listened to my instincts from the time I walked in the door and was told by the receptionist they would need to put my cat down, even before I saw the doctor and cats have been saved with the proper treatment. My impression is this a rural animal hospital acting as if they are highly skilled. Take your animals to Tulsa for an emergency on the weekends. My cat, who was a part of my family, has been deceased now for nine months and I'm still heartbroken. They took no responsibility for his loss and charged me $800 for his care. And btw, they wanted this money up front. It seems they assumed I would not pay for my bill.

They also let my inquisitive animal-loving daughter ask all the questions she wants about her dog and never makes her feel like she's being annoying or a burden. They make sure my daughter feels valued and part of the process where her dog is concerned.

I like learning new things about animals. They do have cat/kitten adoptions at the front, I think this is through a local animal group. There is a variety of furry and not-so-furry pets too. Drop off was an awful experience…read more front desk worker was less than helpful and rolled his eyes at us when our dogs shot records had a missing vaccination (all we had to do was call his vet and confirm that he had the vaccine, took all of 5 minutes). When we walked out we stood in the parking lot debating if we wanted to leave him bc the drop off experience was so unfriendly. Obviously we had no choice at that point since we had already made travel plans however we did have friends on standby the entire week bc we just had a bad feeling, but we gave them the benefit of the doubt since we had heard great things from friends. On our way home from our trip we called and said my dad would be picking up our dog early; they wrote down the change of plans and said nothing about the dogs health. An hour later we get a call from the owner saying our pup is lethargic and not acting like himself and they were taking him to the vet. Once at the vet they tested for parvo, negative. ended up with a pretty bad virus. $700 vet bill later and we took home a very sick dog with wounds under his hind leg and peeing/pooping blood. The owner called us and tried to tell us the vet said he had parvo before we brought him to them, that was a lie and the vet never said that. When we tried to talk to her about our experience we were met with "well our front desk guy is just an introvert" and "we did what we could" there is no way there weren't any signs of him feeling bad or showing some separation anxiety until an hour before he was to be picked up. And to top it all off when I went to settle the bill, they brought all his things out in a trash bag. We brought him a bag that all his things would fit in and instead of taking some time to put it all back they just shoved it in a lawn and leaf bag, I know that may seem petty but it just shows a lack of empathy for a dog they just had to rush to a vet in an emergency situation. Nothing was mentioned when I came in to pay. We will not be back and we will be sure to tell our friends and family to make a better choice for their pets as well.

I had…read moremy dog's shot records with everything updated & of course she is treated for flea prevention. Folks at Sunny Acres were great and had no problems showing me the kennels. It is equipped with an in door/out door for your dog to go outside or stay inside. The dogs are fed quality food and plenty of it for their size. My dog stayed in the same spot (better for longer stays as moving kennels makes her more nervous). I provided chew treats that they did give her. I was able to bring her bed & pillow to make her more comfortable...which was all there when I picked her up. I was so pleased and the best part was that the prices to board her were very fair. I will use this kennel again.
