My half-hearted mission on this trip were 1950s Pyrex mixing bowls. Last week I stopped by a store in Marietta that was selling a set of three for $155. Too rich for my blood, though perhaps not out of line. (I looked at the "Replacement" china/tableware website and saw individual bowls going for $119! That's crazy!) Anyway, here I found two Pyrex bowls in great shape -- different vendors -- each going for $20. I bought 'em. If you're looking for serious antiques you're not likely to find them at the Madison Flea Market. I noticed a number of booths selling Fiesta Ware. I can't comment about authenticity -- not something I collect -- but if you're in the market, might be worth a look.

This place is HUGE--like, "clear your afternoon" huge--with over 12,000 square feet of booths filled with everything from farmhouse decor and Depression glass to estate jewelry, vintage signs, and mid-century furniture. Each booth has its own vibe, which makes exploring really fun. You never know what you're going to find. I scored a vintage camera and an old travel trunk that I now use for decor. Prices range from bargain-friendly to collector-worthy, so there's something for every budget. The staff is super welcoming--Southern hospitality at its finest. They even gave me tips on some of the items and let me know about upcoming estate sales. Bonus: it's right downtown, so you can grab lunch or walk around historic Madison after you shop. Highly recommend if you're into unique finds, nostalgic vibes, or just want a fun way to spend the day!

I was super impressed when everyone at this week's sale recognized us. both sales we found items for our house but it is more the people and the conversations that really make you feel great about the entire experience. I really appreciated how organized and beautifully staged the various items were. I could have stayed here even longer. There is so much to see in the shop such as colorful pottery, paintings, home decor, furniture, wood sculptures and other unique pieces that make great gifts. Their inventory represents more than 120 artists throughout the state of Georgia. You will definitely want to check out those snack samples that they have available. The praline spread paired very well with the cream cheese and crackers because it had a slightly sweeter taste without being cloyingly so. I could have made a meal out of the praline spread because it was so good, unfortunately when it came to purchasing a jar, I could not find it among the other spreads. I imagine that it is quick to sell out because it is that good. My husband ended up purchasing the Sweet Vidalia option which was a bit too salty on the back end for me. The delivery team called before they arrived and were right on time. They installed the microwave quickly and efficiently, and checked to make sure I was satisfied with everything. Nelson noticed a defect in the range as he unpacked it and showed it to me. He arranged with his manager to locate another one and went back to the store to pick it up that day. They came back and installed it, ensuring that I wanted it level (instead of arranged for looks within my different height countertops. Great service - thanks so much.
