We stopped in Athabasca today for lunch at the 49th Street Grill. They have a variety of food items available. My wife I both had Italian dishes, baked lasagna with Italian sausage and spaghetti with meat sauce. Both meals were very good. Service was outstanding. read more

Had lunch here and I have to say I hope to be back! First off the service was great! Fast and friendly! The food was delicious. I had the lunch tacos, but even the salads looked yummy. I am not sure if it was the owner or a cook but even they stopped by to make sure everything was good. Price was in line with almost anywhere you can go for lunch. Building was nice and clean. Awesome, what more can I say? Atmosphere: quiet at the time, and the staff was humorous. Decor: apart from the kitchen and bar being a bit in the open and stains on the carpet, overall the place is nice. New laminated floors in the upper back, nice lighting fixtures, and a clean men's washroom. Service: efficient, attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. Food: we ordered a couple of pizzas, of which were amazing. The coffee was a standard cup and when asked for more water we revived a craft (nice touch). Cost: was well worth every penny, and a large tip! A great place in Athabasca to go for dinner, I was happily impressed. read more

Visitor from out of town and stopped by for a bite to eat... wow smelled delicious walking in and definately did not disappoint. Staff very friendly and owner personally coming over for a visit. Great tasting food steak done to perfection and lasagna was Awsome!! Ordered the sponge toffee cake with maple walnut ice cream and was the BEST dessert ever... hoping to get back to Athabasca soon and back to this Awsome restaurant!!! read more

Amazing food, great staff. Last time I was there I ordered a steak that came out a perfect medium rare. If you go, absolutely try their pizza, spaghetti or lasagna. Their sauce is addicting. read more

We had a picky eating child years ago who only wanted to Perogy Pizza. The owner made him one and we have been ordering them again now that we are back in town. They have even added it to the menu. All the food here is great. The location is easy to find. The service is super fantastic. My wife loves the Lobster Mac & Cheese in their lunch menu. read more

Best Dining in Town! I've been here a number of times now and am impressed every time by the homemade quality of food, portion size, and good service. Had the seafood fettuccine last time and it was true to it's name, packed with fresh lobster and shrimp, great taste...and worth the carbs and calories. I could barely make it through the portion size, and it came out promptly & piping hot. I think it's family owned and definitely customer friendly. read more

I must've come on an off night, 49th didn't really live up to the reviews others left. Food was the definition of OK, nothing spectacular, but not awful either. Decent eats. The service on the other hand....inattentive might be the kindest word that I can come up with. Wait staff too busy discussing management and scheduling change woes with each other in the middle of the dining area (within earshot of everyone sitting there) instead of attending to tables. Not sure that I'll be back, especially considering the cost, as in my opinion it really isn't great value for money. Not worth the money! $160 for 4 meals and two appies. No drinks! Our girls ordered chicken fettuccine Alfredo and it was so extremely salty they could not eat it. I ordered chicken souvlaki and it was extremely salty as well but edible. Service was average at best. We are from out of town and used yelp to determine a good restaurant. I disagree with the reviews. This said, the pizza was good! read more

We absolutely LOVE 49th Street Grill - it's always a treat to go there! The menu items are exceptional and it is a warm, welcoming environment:) The pizza is the best I've had but all the other choices we've tried have also been over the top!
