Our dog Larry is a large Weimaraner/Mastiff with a silver coat. Since I have adopted him he has had skin issues. From 6 months old I was treating him with a skin infection, he was red and full of rash on his underbelly, months I did antibiotics and it still continued. I then switched his food to a well known brand from a local store. We saw improvement but really the hair on his back side never grew back and he would have flare ups all the time of rash and itching. Then we did rounds of weekly medicated baths, it really helped but it was a huge pain. Last fall we finally switched his food to the whitefish & duck from Pet Wants. Since then we have also got him allergy tested from our vet and found out he is allergic to grass . Since last fall we have been religious with giving him his meds (Benadryl & melatonin) morning and night along with his new food. He finally has fur!!!!!!! Along with no rashes, no more infections under his legs, and his fur is shiny and I haven't even given him a bath in a long time. It is such a relief as a person who has dealt with this for almost 5 years to finally see something help! He never has any issues transitioning to the food, I mean he's a 130lb big boy who loves food I wasn't worried about that. But Pat was great about giving us samples to test him with it to see how he did. Since Larry has been on his new food he is consuming less food then he had on past foods. The biggest thing for me with our experience with Pet Wants Green Bay is their customer service. Pat is wonderful to work with! He delivers the dog food right out our house, every batch of dog food has a hand written letter in it. Today we were leaving town for Memorial Day and I forgot to place my order this week so I placed my order this morning and within minutes I got a text that he would have it there by noon! It's not only good food but wonderful service! I would highly recommend to anybody looking for a good brand dog food for their pets!

I took off one star, because Dr. Holder treats cats and dogs like someone might treat a farm animal, not like a part of your family. He's a little dismissive of the emotional temperament of the animal, doesn't coddle them, but on the other hand will treat them with care nonetheless. If you're used to a vet that babytalks your pet and praises it during the visit, this place might not be your kind of vet office. But you can depend on good care. I was even allowed to go back into another room and view the xrays that were taken of my dog. I had both my dogs' care here over 7 years. One thing I would advise is that you don't elect to have your pet euthanized here in the office. I was pretty traumatized and left absolutely raw. Call in someone to come to your home. My two experiences with pet euthanasia were complete 180 from each other.

We took him to the emergency vet in Appleton and they were good, but told us that he would for sure need surgery and if we didn't get it that this would likely kill our dog. They quoted us $6000-9000 for the surgery. Needless to say we were terrified. We called Dr. Holder's office on Sunday and left a message explaining the situation. They called us right away on Monday morning, before the clinic even opened, and said they could get him in at 0930 and that if he needed to do surgery it would be $2000-3000. I was blown away. I had been praying that God would find a way to fix this situation and He provided. I cried tears of thankfulness. Dr. Holder is a fantastic Veterinarian. He knows his stuff. We will be taking our loved pets to him for as long as we can. 10/10 stars for him and for his staff (I think their names are Amber and Tara). EXCELLENT CARE!!!!
