1 Star I had a…read moreterrible experience with Whistle Express Car Wash and would strongly caution anyone with a truck equipped with power running boards. Before entering the wash, I manually extended my running boards, something I have done every single time I've used this car wash. I did so in plain view of employees, and at no point did anyone tell me this was prohibited or unsafe. There were also no signs, warnings, or instructions advising customers not to extend their running boards before entering the wash. During the wash, the equipment ripped the running boards off my vehicle, causing significant damage. After filing a claim, the company denied responsibility, claiming there was no equipment failure or employee error and stating that running boards are not covered under their policy. What is most frustrating is the complete lack of accountability. If extended running boards are a known risk, why are there no warnings? Why do employees allow vehicles to enter the wash in that condition without saying anything? And how can a car wash claim its equipment is functioning properly when it causes enough force to tear parts off a vehicle? Instead of standing behind their service and helping resolve the situation, they simply denied the claim and left me responsible for the damage. Customer service offered no meaningful assistance and showed little interest in addressing the concerns I raised. Based on my experience, I will not be returning and cannot recommend this car wash to others.
