I asked for a quote, and he responded promptly and showed up just a few days later, early in the morning, for a walkthrough. He sent us the quotes shortly after and even made a house visit on the weekend (on 30 minutes' notice!). When it came time to get the gutters done, he arrived on time, was respectful, and completed the entire job in less than one day. Pros: this business was extremely responsive. They sent someone out for an estimate and that person showed up when they were supposed to. They were very attentive and answered all of our questions. Their estimate was in the ballpark, not too high or too low. We chose them based on all of this. The work itself was hmmm. The workers showed up when they were supposed to and did as they were supposed to. Sadly they made some mistakes and unfortunately none of them spoke or understood English at all so it was simply not possible to communicate with them. We called back someone we could talk to who corrected the mistakes relatively well. Not perfectly but adequately. We're now a year in and in a very wet winter, and the gutters are definitely being put to the test. Three quarters of them are working exactly as they should. We still have one problem area which is a problem with the roof itself and not necessarily the gutters. Sure would have been nice had this been called to our attention in a more timely manner: Our recommendation is, by all means hire this contractor if you want gutter work. But someone will need to keep an eye on them. read more

We liked Oscar, alot. In that he seemed driven by customer service. Prompt, honest, professional. ...His installation crew, not so much! They are either color blind or just sloppy. Our job was done with different 3 colors instead of the one we chose (for the downspouts) He did replace the 'alternate' pieces so that the colors matched, but said the color on the sample did not match the color of the product. Oscar was a no-show when he set up at time to discuss, so my wife just gave up and agreed to paint the downspouts! We paid in full but would not use him again. Highly recommend 5 Star Guttering. Oscar assessed our gutter needs, and recommended installing new gutters where needed and replacing leaking gutters with new ones. I was particularly impressed with his solution to fix a long gutter run that had one downspout but water was not draining. He showed me that the gutter was sloped the wrong way. Good initial experience, but very lousy follow-up on flaws we noticed after installation. We emailed photos as requested, and spent several weeks chasing Oscar, who repeated said he would come out and do the fixes ....and always blew us off. Both my wife and I spent numerous hours waiting for promised call-backs that never came. To quote a review I just now read: "Oscar was a no-show when he set up at time to discuss ...."
