A definite must if you're craving some good Mexican food, or if you're missing "burn your mouth" spice while in Salamanca. So happy to have found this little hole in the wall/ground. Ambiance - Cute, small. We ate outside, but they have a sitting area downstairs as well if the traffic bothers you. Also a well stocked bar. Eats - The food was tasty and fresh. I highly recommend the chipotle burrito, and all the different taco's were great. Their SALSA was very spicy and totally hit the spot. There are local tour guides who can walk you through the city and tell you some tidbits about the history and architecture. This was a refreshing place to get a decent lunch. Several outdoor tables, attentive waiter service and good geared toward most tourists - my companion opted for a steak with eggs and French fries : huge portion but she said her steak was tough. I got a theee course Plato de dia : the first was a revuelto or scrambled eggs with garlic chives , followed by slow roasted pork with a sweet sauce and lastly a custard made in the local style -it was a large portion again! I was not prepared for the huge servings, which also included a bottle of water plus €1 for Al fresco dining. I tried the falafel pita with vegetables and feta cheese and I was hooked ever since. I've literally been coming back every day or so since then for more. The prices are very reasonable (about 4-6 euros for a good sized sandwich) and the environment is great too. The restaurant is Moroccan owned, so it's authentic food at its finest.
