After my exam with the doctor, I needed some reading glasses. The manager made me feel that it was an inconvenience for him to help me. I was ready to purchase the glasses on the spot. First red sign, but I chalked it up to him having a bad day. A few weeks later, my wife picked up the glasses that she ordered and the glasses were not fitting correctly. The right side keep sliding down her face and was sitting lower. She went for a few adjustments and it still didn't fit right. After looking at the glasses, I can tell that the right side leg was wiggling a lot more than the left side. Of course, it's made to wriggle some, but not the way it is at the moment. Something was not right. We both wore glasses all of our lives. So this time, I personally took it in cause she didn't want to deal with this manager again. After the lady took it in the back and adjusted it, she brought it back out and was like there you go. Still the same problem, I showed her. Before she can answer, this "manager" guy step in and made a total scene by rising his voice. He said that's how it's supposed to be. If your wife is having issues it's not the leg, it's her face or her ear is lower than the other. In fact, the glasses you have on right now wiggle like this. I pulled off my glasses and it's not wriggling as much as my wife's glasses. We just bought 3 pairs of glasses from here in the past 3 months. The other 2 are not like this. He kept being more aggressive and rising his voice so I just took the glasses with me and walked out. As I was walking to the car I was thinking, could he be right? Let's get a second opinion. I went across the street to Target and went to the Optical store. I explained to the nice lady there that I didn't buy my glasses there, but I need a second opinion. I was told that these glasses are supposed to wiggle this much. I showed her one side was fine and the other moved up and down quite a bit. She agreed. She took a look at it and tighten the screw and it was perfect now. Makes me wonder if the manager at Advanced actually try to adjust it in the back room. I thanked her and told her we will be buying our glasses from here now on. Please DO NOT buy your glasses here. The customer service is awful. There use to be an older lady that was awesome, but I don't think she is there anymore. The new "manager" is awful and not pleasant at all. It's funny, that I am not the only person who has had this experience with him as you can see in the reviews from above. I witnessed Helen's caring, knowledge and warmly explained analysis of what and why she is doing all of these tests. She explained her knowledge very well with my girlfriend on changes or constants going on with her eyes. We asked a few questions and Helen answered. She explained that Macular degeneration connects to blood pressure in the eye connecting to background mini eye blood vessel aneurysms and more information that was very helpful. All going on while Helen was using her instruments, scanned, giving instruction on Left or Right, Left or Right.

They bought those tech gadget for saving their labor hours but want consumer to pay for it. Double dipping. Money hungry. SAD!!!

Everyone is so friendly and helpful from the receptionist to the eye doctor to the guys when you pick up your order. Easy parking in this shopping strip mall. You can always wait at Barnes and Noble (right?! They still have locations open) for your sunglasses. We came on a Saturday, they were slammed but was able to get an appointment even though walk ins are welcomed. Without vision insurance, an eye exam without insurance runs about $120. You can find great pairs of frames for $89 and price goes up if they are designers. My mom's progressives ran $240 for two pairs and pretty worth it. You do get complimentary eyeglass pouches but we purchased some hardshell to protect her new purchase. Growth isn't always about money or status. Sometimes the best growth is within you. The way you think, the way you feel, and how you see the world!

This was during the HEIGHT of the pandemic. His mask kept falling and he kept adjusting it but it made me uncomfortable especially because he was close to my FACE for the exam...! At the front desk when I was leaving, I started to cry and told them I wouldn't be coming back because he made me feel so bad. The business manager called me later that day and said she'd help me get another sort of exam for free because "Dr. Margolis kind of has a bad reputation around here." (No kidding!) Dr. Margolis called me later to apologize (!) and said he threw away his Under Armour mask that kept falling. Later saw him at the Lone Tree library with the SAME MASK. Wow. What a guy.
