I got questions, they have answers! Dr. Marlatt (re: Jeff) is one of a kind and a straight shooter with answers. Some answers I didn't want to hear but he explained it in a way that made sense and certain things I could do to help my vision along. I have only good things to say about this practice! Even Dan the optician offers sound advice about fitting me with the best pair of glasses. Each time I visit here I'm greeted with smiles all around. After the first visit and fitting for glasses I knew I was in good hands. The office is laid out nicely and even the bathroom is a quick skip and a jump from the receptionists. I have been a patient of Dr. Marlatt's for many years. I have always received great care, and have always been pleased with the service and happy with the contacts and glasses I ordered. Last week I accidentally sat on my glasses, and popped out the lenses (they are Silhouettes) and popped the strings out of the frame. I dropped them off on my way to lunch to send them in for repair... and I got a call at lunch that my glasses were already fixed! My wife and I have been going to Parkridge for years and love Drs. Marlatt and Sancho. I am genetically prone to a dangerous eye condition and have had to get care in off hours. I always get a prompt call back no matter when I call and then get follow up calls to check on the treatment results. Nothing but great visits so far so we are off to a good start! Dr. Sancho is a hoot and one of the most thorough optometrists I've ever visited. I came in for my initial check up and then for a contact fitting and she inspected my eyes with every single contact change. Now I just wait for the contacts to come in! I'm very disappointed the first time here, the eye exam was very unorganized they couldn't get my insurance to work right I have never had a problem with my VSP, I had a contact lens exam and the power changed a small amount so they proceeded to give me some trial lenses well I got home and noticed the one should be AX 70, but she had gave me a 170 definitely NOT going to work I stop back by and of course they are out of stock of the 70 I needed, they guy at the front says he will order the right one and it should be 2 days, a week goes by and no call so I call them and get put on hold for awhile and told they will call me back, End if day comes guess what NO call back, so I call them AND MAGICALLY they have the lense now.......... I stop by to pick it up and it's also the wrong power and also noticed the lens I thought was right it's very expired..... So at this point I'm honestly not to confident the whole exam is even right... I will be taking my business elsewhere that's for sure read more

If you're into any of the shooting sports, this place is for you. I shoot national level archery and also have an astigmatism. My previously prescription glasses were getting old and I was starting to explore the daunting thought of buying pricey sports glasses from Pilla to provide more UV protection and color lenses that would help with focus. I'm so glad I found Dr. Jeff Marlatt and the Parkridge team! My eye exam/checkup was fast and easy. I was able to come back in for a second consultation to try on literally dozens of styles of frames with my bow in hand, in order to find the one that works well for my sport. And I was able to test out different lens colors to see what would work in the most varied weather circumstances. The office is full of friendly and helpful staff, and they have a great selection of frames. I ended up getting exactly the perfect set of frames and lenses with an improved prescription, and my great scores from the last few tournaments prove it was a good choice. Thanks! read more

If I could give 0 stars here's why; my husband and I have both gone and they don't charge the same for the same services. They charged my husband for the high tech lens exam and not me, they try to persuade you to purchase your glasses with insurance but it's cheaper if you don't and when they write you your RX they state you've already purchased contacts and what brand you chose. These folks are highly unethical, it's not legal to do these things based on the fact that I have worked for an Optometrist and if you're that desperate for $$ , maybe you should have your staff all on the same page for the charges. The Dr. Also told my husband that his glasses RX was wrong and they had given him the last RX. This is a shady group. read more

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Jeff Marlatt's since 2013. Back then my husband drove an hour out of his way to visit this doctor, as he hadn't been able to wear contacts in years and someone he worked with at the time told him that Dr. Marlatt managed to fit very difficult cases. My husband had visited so many optometrists and ophthalmologists through the years back in our home state, but even after spending a small fortune none of them could replace his glasses with contact lenses. We were told it simply could not be done, so he didn't have high hopes. However, it only took Dr. Marlatt one visit to recommend contact lenses that worked better than any had in the past. Within weeks, he had him in the perfect pair that my husband still wears years later. Needless to say, my husband will never go anywhere else until this doctor retires - hopefully that is many years away. For my own case, my contacts were the easy part. I'd been misdiagnosed with a condition that turned out to be an issue of my eye not matching up with standard test equipment. This has been stressful over the years as multiple doctors came to similar (incorrect) conclusions, even though they clearly admitted they did not quite understand what was going on - which made me nervous. If they didn't understand an issue, why not look into it a bit further instead of just sending me on my way?? So I don't immediately place trust in anyone, but through the years I can confirm that Dr. Marlatt has had my best interest in mind. He ordered the right tests that gave him insight into what was going on in my case, which was basically a calibration discrepancy. No one else had bothered with that degree of detail, and I greatly appreciate his thoroughness and willingness to explain all this to me. It saved me a lot of unnecessary worry and expense. Unlike some of the other reviewers, I have never been asked to write a review on Yelp, probably because I've never even mentioned the site. I'm usually too focused on getting all of my questions answered to talk about anything else. :) But I just had another informative appointment today (on a Saturday- how convenient is that?) and was thinking this morning about how I wish I could find a local dentist that I could trust as much as I trust this eye doctor! read more

I'd always been a mall-glasses shopper. In and out and an hour, just get it done. I decided about a decade ago to finally go to a real optometrist. Jeff was amazing. My eyes were pretty wonky and changed a bunch. We actually ended up doing 3 different eye exams over a few weeks to ensure he nailed down the right prescription. Jeff's attention to detail was extraordinary. I went from most of my life having 20/40 vision with glasses to 20/20 and even 20/15 with contacts. I've been recommending him for years. Sure, versus the mall you're going to pay a bit more.. but instead of being treated like a burden that they just want to get out as quickly as possible, Park Ridge and Jeff took time with me, got to know how I see, and furnished me with the best vision I've ever had in my life. You will notice a trend of several reviews posted in one day. Parkridge did specifically ask for customers to contribute a review. No one was persuaded to write a positive review. First, several of my neighbors recommended Parkridge. I live in Willow Creek. I was looking for a new optometrist after moving. On my first visit, Dr Marlatt found an abnormality in one eye that my previous Dr never mentioned in the 15 years I was with him. Parkridge has top of the line technology, friendly staff, knowledgeable Drs, designer eyeware and is easy to get to just off I-25 at Lincoln. Dr Marlatt corrected a mistake in my previous prescription, fit me with a more comfortable contact lens, gave me a better solution to store my lenses and his staff billed both my medical and vision insurance to cover more of the costs. Must have missed responding to text 5 of 10 and when I show up, they had cancelled my appointment. Nothing like leaving work only to find out you were cancelled. Each person takes the time to listen and help so that you leave with the right frames and the right glasses. ZERO stars!!! I have never been treated so rudely by a service "professional." Dr Sancho did not greet us with a hello, snapped at us about being late, which we weren't. (Her front office never informed us we were to be there 15 minutes before our scheduled time and we ended up waiting for 10 minutes to be seen.) We were there as a follow up because the glasses she prescribed weren't working for my child. When I tried to explain what was going, she snapped at me told me she would fix it in a very hostile tone and rolled her eyes. She refused to talk directly to me from that point on and only dealt with my 12 year old. In the end we were left having to go back to the old prescription. Unfortunately for us, it cost us over $400 for lenses that we didn't need. Do not waste your time or money here. read more

Poor customer service on every occasion I've been to the store front. Told me my existing glasses prescription was wrong, then wrote a glasses prescription that was the same as the previous. And they made the glasses that they said were the wrong prescription. So either they are lying to sell another pair of glasses or their quality control is unacceptable. Either way, they will never have my business again, nor anyone in my personal contact who values personal experiences. read more

I had an excellent experience here, would highly recommend it. "Dr. Jeff" as he likes to be called, has a great bedside manner, was very realistic with what needed to be done considering I'm young and healthy, and made my eye appointment enjoyable. He also seemed very knowledgable and on top of everything. Comparing this to another place I went for my last couple eye exams (in the Denver area, not near here), I would 100% go back to Parkridge for my next exam. I've been meaning to review these guys for LONG time ~ almost 4 years to be specific. Our entire family just loves Dr. Marlatt (and my husband has never before liked an eye doctor). We stumbled into Parkridge Vision Specialists (at their previous location) when we moved to Colorado 4 years ago and loved them from Day 1. Dr. Marlatt is very personable and seems to be very well educated in his profession, and we also just love Marco, the guy who actually fits you with your glasses. What prompted me to actually do a review today is that my 12 year old son and I just left his regular doctor, and as we were walking to the car he said to me, "Wow! that doctor was awesome! That makes 2 really awesome doctors that we have here. This one and the eye doctor." So that prompted me to finally write this review. read more

The exam was ok but woke up the next day and one of my eyes felt funny and had some weird stuff going on with it. I had been fitted for contacts and eye dilation. I called the office and they wanted to charge me $50 to look at it. Other Dr's offices I have take a look if something occurs that close after doing work. I happened upon this place and stopped in to browse their glasses frames selection. I have a narrow face and have difficulty finding glasses to fit my small face. Much to my surprise, they had a plethora of options in very classy frames that worked for me! I was greeted after just a few moments by Trevzon, a delightful, very educated and personable specialist who spent a ton of time and gave genuine feedback on frame selections. I became aware (not from him) that it was past his time to go home, yet he never let me know that nor rushed me! Additionally, while I was browsing, Dr. Jeff Marlatt happened to see me unattended and came over to see if he could help me (he was between appts.). He answered detailed questions that the receptionists were unable to answer. He gave me a referral to someone for another procedure about which I was inquiring. We went to 3 optometrists before we found Parkridge and the clinic is absolutely awesome. Our experience at the other vision places was fine, but nothing special. But it was my attempt to transistion from contacts to bifocal to progressive lenses that won me over. I had purchased two sets of progressive lenses from the other places and could never make the transition to them. Everything seems warped and i found my head bobbing all over as i went from documents on my desk, to a monitor, to looking across the room. I absolutely hated the progressives and gave up in favor of old fashioned bifocals. I mentioned this to Parkridge and the doctor explained in detail why I was struggling and the right type of lens that would enable me to make the jump. Apparently the 3rd try is a charm, as long as you use the right lenses ( the ones Parkridge reccomends)! After a few days in the lenses I'm now good to go and could not be happier. Frankly, I'm suprised that I'm sitting her now wearing them. I never though I'd be able to wear progressives. I soooo happy!!!! Thanks to the Parkridge doctors for making me happy!!!! read more

Incredibly unprofessional operation. Pushed me and my wife into unnecessary tests (claiming that they were covered under the insurance), then did not show any remorse when it turned out that they were not covered. Not only did we pay for it, they SENT BILL TO COLLECTOR AFTER US HAVING PAID THEM. Stay away - they are only trying to make money and do not care about the customer experience at all. read more

I must say dealing with this office has been the worst. The front staff is unprofessional and incompetent. They billed our medical insurance which has a deductible but won't bill our vision insurance. When I asked her to call our vision insurance which they do accept she said I don't have time. I am pleased to say we have been patients at Parkridge Vision Specialists since our arrival. I can say straight up that we have received nothing but extremely professional and competent service. I had eye surgery four years ago and Jeff served as my primary care physician, pre and post surgery. His thoughtful care spoke volumes to me. He even gave me his cell phone so that I could call him over the weekend - just in case I had any issues. What doctor ever does that? If you're looking for a five star practice, look no further. This is my 4th or 5th visit to see Dr. Sancho. She is an amazing Dr. and medical detective. She has discovered things with my eyes that I have suspected but no one else could be bothered investigating and confirming. She doesn't just give you the MOST thorough eye exam you've had in your life, but she teaches and educates you on the proper care and pretty much whatever you need. She is a wonderful resource and a wonderful person. Everyone in this office cares and it SHOWS!. I love her eye technician too Marco. He is amazing. Last Summer I was recommended by a friend to see Dr Sancho as I had something seriously wrong with one eye and it was only getting worse with the "treatment" America's Best was giving me. I had gone to America's Best for the past ten years because-honestly-it is quite cheap. I don't think you realize how much you are treated like just another sheep at chains like that until you have had an entirely opposite treatment from people like Dr Sancho. I wouldn't go back to America's Best if you paid me. Besides, it is hardly worth the minimal savings to have your eye mutilated and go through months of discomfort. By the time I got to Sancho, she said my eye looked like hamburger meat. Yikes! I saw her several times that Summer as she kept a close watch on treatment and literally saved the health of my eye. I just saw her last week to get into contacts again as I didn't want to wear them until I was fully recovered. Dr Sancho went above and beyond to ensure my eye was healthy again and was quite pleased by the recovery. She checked for numerous conditions and asks the type of questions America's Best could care less about. Did you know Park Ridge Vision is the optometrist the entire Denver Broncos goes to? Excellent Choice!! As I read the reviews left by "Angela S" and "M M" I can hardly believe their validity. Park Ridge was somewhat familiar with my financial situation and I personally felt their understanding. While I don't necessarily know if I received any special pricing, (and I do have VSP insurance, only $14/mo) I can tell you that I gratefully paid a very fair price and think Dr Sancho's services and care are worth so much more. Park Ridge responded to those two reviews and I hope anyone can see through those responses that these people care deeply about their patients' experience and those people may not necessarily be telling the truth or know what they are talking about. Those reviews are just smoke and mirrors, and I think they are just whining about money. If you don't think for one second that these people are worth every penny (and it's not even that expensive!!) than just take your money to America's Best and somewhere along the lines your eye will be turned into a meatball too. Really disappointed in the service (or lack of) with Parkridge Vision Specialists. I had my eyes examined and prescription lenses done at this place (approximately $500 out of pocket). Lens came loose a few weeks later, when I returned, they refused to help me. They said they could not warrant the work because the glasses were purchased elsewhere. They never mentioned this to me when they charged me for the work. Said the only way the could fix my problem was if I purchased the same frame at their store (at my expense) and then they send back to lab for repair. Extremely, extremely disappointed that they could take $500 and not stand behind their work or the work of their lab. read more

I created my Yelp account today specifically to review Park Ridge Vision. My wife and I have been seeing Jeff & Michelle for years now. They are the only doctors I look forward to seeing each and every year. I've referred coworkers to them and found other coworkers who are patients of theirs that feel the same. They are qualified and capable, but also friendly, accommodating and I honestly enjoy the short time I spend with them. Giving me options and alternatives, they listen to the feedback I provide, and ensure the care they are providing is right for me. My only concern about giving Jeff & Michelle the kind of review they deserve would be my fear that it would be more difficult to get an appointment, but that is a risk I'm willing to take for them. read more
