Safely! Safety!…read more Safely safe! I love this place because no matter how many rounds of ammunition is going off around me, these people put safety first. Of course you have liability waivers to fill out, but that's expected. What was not expected how much friendly and detailed safety, gun handling, stance work, thought, attention to detail, etc., was given to you throughout your stay. If you have your own weapons, they do not try to up sell you on anything. The suggestions they give comes with explanations and are logical. I'll leave it at this, if you want a safe environment to learn about weapons, with a highly competent staff, this is the place to go. I saw archery stuff to go with the plethora of gun stuff that's all around. I like the many hunting trophies that are around the place as well. I can't wait to go back and try the outdoor shooting range, as well as target practice inside.

My only real complaint that keeps it from being 5 stars is the rifle range. It was not designed for medium range/combat rifles like AR-15s/etc (the most popular rifle in America). There's a very restrictive 'cone' you have to shoot through and it seems designed for long range, 5-round max hunting rifles were in mind rather than things like AR-15s. Would recommend setting up at least a couple 'open' booths like the pistol range has. So I can't really shoot my standard 30 round mag kinda rifles here, only come for the pistol range which is sad. Note, not sure why it says I'm in the shitty city of SF ... I live near Tyler.
