When I booked, I was told the officer requirement would be at the manager's discretion. I communicated multiple times that my event would end by 6 PM. However, I was still required to pay for an officer through 10 PM, even though the event ended much earlier. While I understand policies are in place, this was unexpected and felt unfair based on prior communication. One policy to be aware of is that open flames are not allowed. I was able to adjust without issue, but it's something to plan for ahead of time. Overall, the space itself is nice, but I strongly recommend getting clear, written confirmation of all fees, policies, and requirements before booking to avoid surprises.

The venue is small yet warm and inviting. The backyard is a decent size. They have a restroom, kitchen and an upstairs at the venue. The appetizers and desserts were yummy and I enjoyed the live music. Being able to hear one of the volunteers who used to be in the foster care system share her story of overcoming adversity was inspiring. Just something to be aware of if you're ordering drinks like a whiskey sour or anything that may include egg whites. After getting our receipt (which you need for the speakeasy entry code), we checked out the speakeasy portion, but the vibe there wasn't great either..pretty must the same as the other part of the bar. We ended up leaving within about five minutes. Overall, the experience didn't live up to the hype for us....between the noise, long wait times, and how we were treated, it just wasn't enjoyable. For comparison, the bar next door, Archibald, felt much more welcoming. Maybe regulars have a different experience, but as first-time guests, we were not impressed.
